They might not be good singers or dancers (they all debuted as actors)
but they have a special place in my heart, I have been a fan of them since the group started out 5 years ago...
My only regret for them is that they couldn't disband as a 7-member group...

Not enough hooks (should be about one hook ever five seconds if it's Kpop , even Japanese Kpop), and too much obvious autotune. It's OK, but it sounds more like an album cut than an SNSD single...

It took about 1:00 to realize they were singing in Japanese.

My brain was like, "Okay, I KNOW they're Korean... but it doesn't sound like Korean? Oh, is that the word "Tokyo" lit up in the background? They must be singing in Japanese... but it doesn't sound like Japanese... WHAT'S HAPPENING. Oh, they said 'mabushii'. It's Japanese."

But that's the thing -- they're singing in Indonesian (apparently the dialect that was spoken on the island where they did a lot of the filming, from what I heard).

It's just the japanese pronunciation slipping in i think, they're singing in the formalized version of the language and not in any local dialect. And we've got loads of those, trust me. Every major island has a markedly different one, heck pretty much every city has it's own dialect lol. In some cases it's even another language altogether (have fun transferring schools across provinces in your childhood )

but I think darc was talking about SNSD's vid instead of the mothra one anyway
