Great news but definitely out of left field! About her health, we have good reason to be unguardedly optimistic. Despite an abundance of very slender framed women, Japan's infant mortality rate is near the lowest in the world (a couple of small European nations do better), and its maternal mortality rate extremely low as well. The main risk to fetuses with low weight mothers is in the first trimester, and it's a reasonable assumption that Reina with her very private personal life wouldn't have made this very public announcement if things were looking dicey.

<sigh>

I only said it would be rough, for the obvious reasons. Reasons that everyone seems to understand, which is why the news is unexpected.

I didn't say anything about mortality or health care or the relative merits of different nations' systems.

But of course you had to…

Reina, from her own words, has always been able to put on a few pounds rather quickly. Her body type is that she tends to carry weight around her middle and her hips are not too narrow. She is small, true, but I believe she will do fine with her pregnancy.

Color me shocked to see her getting married AND having a baby. I mean, I just saw her the other day in a school uniform.

I know I shouldn't be shocked about any of this. I mean, Tsuji getting married and having kids was not something I ever expected happening. But then it did. Same for Yoshizawa. And then the H!P Kids started having kids of their own.
I think age is just catching up with me and I'm just starting to feel like a grandma. :crying:

She can finally visit the mama-dols Tsuji and Fujimoto's houses and not feel left out.

Oh! You're right! That meetup was 11 weeks ago... :think:
Time to start speculating wildly about Masaki! XD
(And Fukumura, who was there but wouldn't even be captured on camera for the event... :giggle: )
