Up Up Girls (Kari) have been doing a series this month called

"Every day for a month, UUG posts 'Badass Projects'" (Yabai has a lot of meanings but I think deepl's translation as "badass" seems to fit)

Some of the previous ones have been pretty tame, like finding a place in Roppongi using a paper map. But this one is pretty fun (although possible TRIGGER WARNING: insects)

Here's Apuga(2) playing a game where they're supposed to guess the identity of their songs just by being shown short lyric excerpts printed in a sketchbook.
Maachan, Hoochan, and Yuria are the contestants.
Things start off with a few jokes at their expense, referring to them as "The Three Singing Musketeers," and comparing their standing in size order to the signal bars on a phone.
Anyway, even though Maachan expressed some concern over whether she could compete with young Hoochan's explosive energy, she gets off to a good start because the first song hint luckily turns out to be one of her assigned lines.
But can she keep up after that? Watch to find out!

I feel like I recall them playing a similar game on Haromoni way back in the Heisei Era. It might've been more like "name that tune" where they used short sound clips?
Leader Chinacchan is missing for some reason. Maybe she just didn't want to witness the bloodbath about to ensue.

UUG(2)'s "Kashidon Quiz" continued for a second round. This time Kajii, Chiiko, Niina and Amita were the contestants.



Finally the two winners of the above contests face off in a FINAL SHOWDOWN. Better get your yellow card ready in case one of the girls pulls a few desperate fouls!!

Up Up Girls Kakko Kari came out with a new music video today, basically a commercial for Tower Records with a fairly anodyne arrangement compared to their usual less polished sound.

They also recently had a group birthday celebration. Sumire, Haruka, Yurika and Meina were respectively born on the 15th, 19th, 23rd, and 30th day of January, that's half of their membership.
