Some advice: you don't need to quote the post that immediately precedes yours. Just use a caret (^) to point to that post. It's less spammy.
Unless, of course, your post becomes the first post on a new page. In that case, quoting is good because then readers don't need to go to the previous page to see what you're referencing.
(i actually tried to use a caret in this post as an example. i thought it would be sooo clever. but when i submitted, boom... first post on a new page. oh the ego-deflating irony, followed by some quick editing.)
