Solo Fes talk is all over the place here haha, wasn't sure where to post my own thoughts, but really impressed this year. Masaki gave the most off-stage Masaki performance I've ever seen. She probably wasn't even sure if she truly would be allowed to win or not (with her issues right now it's hard to guarantee things) so she was just there to perform because she loves performing. Ayumi, Nonaka, Momohime and Shion were some of my favourites, but Mei, Yokoyan and the others who went multimedia really impressed me as well. Mei really knows her brand, she and Rio have so much star power right now.

I re-listened to the original version of Akai Earphone and then Nonaka's again and I really love her music box take on it, her singing and performance had a lot of feeling in it as well. The way Kamiko talked about how all the others watched the performance as well it wasn't surprising that she got a lot of votes from the other members. Though Ayumi was only 4 votes behind. Both of them went outside the box and it made impressions on the others for sure. If we get a Solo Fes 3 I think we'll see their influences on how the others approach their performances.

One last thought while watching Miyo and Ruru would both be amazing solo artists. Miyo especially has charisma for days when she performs and her vocal and dance skills are top tier. She's going to be the one that people start saying are the reason they join H!P.

Now we wait for MIP, which very smartly is 3 votes. It lets people vote for their oshi as well as who else impressed them despite not being their oshi.

Notice regarding Morning Musume. '21 Oda Sakura's performance limitations

Thank you very much for your continued support of Morning Musume. '21.

Because of a poor throat condition, Oda Sakura was examined at a hospital and is diagnosed with "functional dysphonia" (voice impairment ; a change in the quality of her voice).

Based on the results, she consulted with the doctor and was instructed to save her singing for a while in concerts. She will perform but not sing for the rest of Hello! Project 2021 Summer.

We will monitor her progress while she recuperates, and ask for her doctor's instructions as necessary.

It seems to me the girls are suffering more such issues lately. I wonder if this is bad news (they are being overworked or UF is failing at safe practice habits) or good news (UF is taking care to resolve health issues earlier and/or the girls feel more comfortable in reporting problems before they become too debilitating)? I'd like to believe the latter.

- Opening Talk : Since it's hard to go out these days, Rika wanted to at least give people a taste of Summer at this event, so she had a lot of Summer items on stage like floating rings, watermelon beach balls and shaved ice cups. "Rika-sama" named her event "Rika SUMMER" in her blog yesterday (word pun).
- VTR Birthday message from Juice=Juice Inoue Rei : They are together in the "flower team" of Kacho-Fuugetsu. ReiRei praised Rika's cute face and powerful singing voice. She has a lot in common with ReiRei.
- Rika sensei's AtsuAtsu! (Hot!) Class for Troubleshooting Worries and Problems. A popular corner at events. Rika is a passionate teacher answering fans questions from the FC site.
Q. I'm always sleepy. I can't overcome the sleepiness that comes over me after eating.
R. "Just Don't eat."
In the consultation session, most of the questions were about sleep. sleep deprived.
Q. I am addicted to muscle training. At work, I can get away with a salad, but at home, I can't resist the delicious food my mother cooks.

R. It's not a matter of threating the charger. You should buy a new one.

- Rika onee-san's Summer Holiday Fun Class : She has two challenges setup for this corner.
~ First up was the "Shaved Ice Cup Tower," where Rika and Saya had 90 seconds to stack paper cups into a pyramid of nine. The two of them worked together to complete it in time.
~ Next was inflating the summer pool float in the shape of a dolphin. They had to fill it with air using a hand pump in 120 seconds. Rika had to inflate one of the fins, while Saya had to inflate the body part. Rika finished filling it quickly, but Saya struggled.
~ Skit corner : At this point, Saya said, "Wait a minute," and went backstage. She appeared dressed as a "preschooler" in a pink smock and yellow hat. Rika-chan wore a lavender apron and became "Big sister Rika", and each of them acted a skit in three different situations, with the audience's applause deciding the best one.

- Rika starting singing the "hand play game" song with the audience. She asked the audience to participate by lowering their penlights. She made shapes of butterflies, crabs, and helicopters with her hands while singing the Japanese children's song "Guu-choki-paa de nani Tsukurou~?"

- MC intro
- Opening Talk topic : Summer Vacation homework.
~ Wakana has said at Harocon and on the radio that she finished all her Summer homework in July.
~ Take-chan said that when she was a student, she finished everything before the summer vacation started. As soon as the handouts were distributed in advance, "If it's distributed, it means I can do it now."
~ The rest of the members all procrastinated till the last day of Summer to do their homework.

- "Happy Summer Ange-game" 1st Half : In the Ange-game, the first half is a group game and the second half is an individual game. The first place winner in their overall score will receive a coupon that can be used at McDonald's. Teams are divided by the illustration on the end of the stick that they choose.
~ Kakigori team (Shaved ice team) = Takeuchi, Kawamura, Kamiko, Hashisako, Matsumoto
~ Suika team (Watermelon team) = Sasaki, Kasahara, Ise, Kawana, Tamenaga

~ Game #1 was "Beach Ball Watermelon Splitting". Each team selects a blindfolded person to split the watermelon, a person to give instructions, and a person to interfere with the other team. The team with the fastest time to break the watermelon gets the point.
~ The first team to attack was the Shaved ice team. Kawamura is the one who breaks the watermelon, Take-chan is the one who tells her what to do, and Tamenaga is the one who interferes. The watermelon team's strategy was to imitate Take-chan's voice to interfere with her instructions. Tamenaga's voice imitation worked well, and even after two and a half minutes, Kawamura was unable to reach the watermelon. At the end, the members laughed as they made Kawamura cut a big plastic dolphin doll and said, "I processed the dolphin."
~ Next is the Watermelon team. Kawana Rin was the one to split the watermelon and Hashisako Rin was the one to give instructions. Take-chan was the one who interferes. The "Rin-Rin combo" of Kawana and Rin-chan were attacked with Take-chan's voice mimicry and shouting, but they were not as effective as Tameanga's. As soon as she got close to the watermelon, Kawana swung her sword around and hit the watermelon, giving the whole watermelon team a point.

~ Game #2 is a "Verbal message gestures" games. Each member has to remember a story as much as they can, as it is passed down to the next member of team. For the Shaved ice team, the subject was "Hashisako Rin eating a crepe while skipping with an alien," and for the Watermelon team, the subject was "Kamiko doing her makeup while stirring natto (fermented soybeans) after oversleeping." Both teams couldn't remember the other half of the story, so they asked the audience for applause and the Watermelon team got the second point.

"Ange-Teki ..." corner : This corner is a project to just enjoy talking. Each ANGERME member writes an answer to a question in a sketchbook.
~ The first question was "Describe Kasahara Momona in four-character idioms."
~ The second question is "Express Kawana Rin's name, but with an onomatopoeia."

- "Happy Summer Ange-game" 2nd Half : The second half of the Ange-game was an individual competition. The Shaved ice team had no chance to win, so Kamiko used her Azatoii character charm saying "Please make it 10 points at the end~"
~ The game was a quiz on difficult-to-read Kanji, involving the audience. All the members were given binoculars and nominated a person who could read the difficult-to-read kanji with the binoculars. The nominated person held up the correct answer with his or her finger, and all the members choose the correct answer. Take-chan casually warned Tamenaga, "If you move forward while looking at the binoculars, you will fall off the stage." Just as you'd expect from the leader.
~ The questions themselves were not difficult, but Momona chose the wrong answer for the third and final question. Most of the members got 10 points. Sasaki and Tamenaga of the Watermelon team played the decisive "Acchi Muite Hoi" game". Rikako won the game.

First FC event for new Juice=Juice members Arisawa Ichika, Irie Risa, and Ebata Kisaki, and First FC event as 10 members.

1st event
- Opening talk with Kanazawa Tomoko, Uemura Akari and introduction of the 3 new members
~ When Tomoko said, "The three of you have been good friends since you joined the group, and I have an image of you always being together," Ebata said, "Me and Ichika were trainees together, and Risa joined, but from the day we met, she talked to us in a friendly way as if we were friends from before.
Tomoko said, "It's because of Risa's friendliness," and Risa was embarrassed when she heard that.
~ Ichika's favorite Shaved ice flavor is "Blue Hawaii," while Risa and Ebata's favorite is "Strawberry".
~ Then the other members appeared. Riai-chan, walking upfront, said, "I'm going to have fun!"
~ The conversation turned to "shaved ice." When Reirei said that she had eaten plum-flavored shaved ice, Tomoko was interested, "Please take me there sometime." Manakan said, "I went to a shaved ice shop that Uemura-san told me about. There was a huge peach on top." Tomoko said, "Uemu bought me a drink. Even though I'm older than her."
~ Ichika was asked where she wanted to go this summer and her face turned red as she chewed on the word "haunted house" in Japanese and tried to say it in English with "ghost house". Riai wanted to go to "Kanazawa-san's house".
~ Yume asked, "Do you eat watermelon with salt? I was thinking about watermelons and it got me thinking."
Ebata and Manakan were the ones who ate the watermelon with salt. Manakan asked Ebata to agree with her, saying "It's sweeter if you put salt on it," but Ebata just said "I haven't put much salt on it yet." As expected of a junior high school student.

- Enjoy Summer game corner
~ Suzuki Keita was invited in to start the game corner. They were divided into teams using the sticks they used at the ANGERME Summer event yesterday.
~ Shaved Ice team : Kanazawa, Uemura, Inaba, Matsunaga, Irie
~ Watermelon team : Inoue, Dambara, Kudo, Arisawa, Ebata
~ Game #1 is "Tako Fishing game" (Octopus Fishing) : The fisher wears an octopus backpack. A magnet is attached to the end of the fishing rod, and the fisher catches an aluminum can from a table with an drawing of an octopus on it, and places it in a box.
~ Kudo Yume raised her hand first and was so eager to try out the game and wear the octopus backpack.
~ Keita said, "Just because you like octopus doesn't mean you're good at octopus fishing."
The Shaved Ice team asked, "Who would look good in an octopus backpack? Riai-chan and Risa-chan decided to try it themselves.
~ Manakan got the first one, but the result was a draw with two points each. When the game was over and everyone talking, Yume was still carrying her backpack with a loving look on her face.

~ Game #2 is a "Balloon Carrying relay" : Paper balloons are placed on a fan and need to be carried back and forth across the stage. They competed for speed. The Shaved Ice team consisted of Uemura and Irie. The Watermelon team consisted of Dambara and Ebata.
~ Kanato said, "We have a dog and a new member." Both Dambara and Ebata had just had their hair shortened, and together they looked like sisters. Dambara tried to run through the air using air resistance, but fell at every turn. The Shaved Ice team won.

~ The last game balloon breaking. They wore sunglasses and carried the balloons from the pool to the box and broke them by hand. for the Shaved Ice team, it was Kanazawa and Riai. The Watermelon team was Inoue, and Arisawa. Tomoko's sunglasses made her look like a yankii, and Riai said, "I'll follow you". Ichika said it was her first time wearing sunglasses. Both teams broke all the balloons. It was a draw.

- Gestures of song lyrics game : the participants guess the song by gesturing the lyrics rather than the choreography of the song. After they get it right, everyone dances to the song as they please.
~ The gestures were done by YumeRiai, and the 3 new members have to guess. The songs were "Suki-chan", "Tsuugaku Vector", and "Kanojo ni Naritaii!!!"

- Questions from the New members to Seniors corner. ReiRei was MC. The theme was "Summer" questions.
~ Ebata asks "What do you want to trying doing this Summer?
~ Ebata wants to do sparkler fireworks.
Matsunaga: I want to go to Mr. Kanazawa's house.
Kudo: All 10 of us line up in a horizontal line and make sparklers. Who can last the longest?
Ebata: I've never been to Tokyo Disney, so I want to go there.
Irie: I have never been to Universal Studio Japan
~ Irie asks "What do you want to eat in Summer?"
Kanazawa: Sorry, It's not just for Summer, but I want to eat French fries.
~ Arisawa asks "Who would you go with to survive on an island?"
~ Kanazawa : I don't want to go to a survival island.
~ Inaba : Kanazawa-san. She is fun to talk to and seems to be able to take care of things when the time comes.
~ Riai : Kudo. The 2 of us gaze up at the night sky. Yume catches an octopus.

Today, we had
Juice=Juice FC Event 2021~Miracle×Juice×Box×Enjoy Summer at Zepp Yokohama.

It was my very first solo group event.
Thanks to the Senpais' support, I could just follow their lead. I was very nervous and sweaty, but all the muscle tension and excitement I had had eventually put me in a state of euphoria. I felt empowered by these indescribable strange feelings.

Time flew really fast when I was having fun. I already started missing the wonderful time spent with Juice=Juice members and you guys at the end

I'll keep practicing hard to be able to show you my performances as a member of Juice=Juice.

I got to eat shaved ice with Jello !!!!!!

We played various games in the corner, but she was the one who did the most unpredictable things, or made moves and comments that made me think something would happen.

I look forward to seeing her use her English skills in the future!

I had a chance to meet her once at an event in Nagoya, and since then, and after seeing her today, I'm convinced.

I'm not going to go that far ahead, but there were a few snippets of sharp poison!

There were many flags of defeat from such poison.

In the future, I expect you to play with poison and candy because you are good with your hands.
