Notice updates for Morning Musume. '21 Sato Masaki, and Okamura Homare.

Okamura Homare, who was diagnosed with "sudden hearing loss", was absent from live performances. But now that her symptoms have subsided and the doctor has given her the okay to resume activities involving loud noises, she will be performing at the concert.

Sato Masaki has been suffering from irritable bowel syndrome intermittently and is taking a break from some of the activities.

They have been monitoring her progress while she has been visiting the hospital. The doctor has diagnosed that it is still difficult for her to do activities that require her to stay in the same place for long periods of time.

Therefore, we have made the decision that she will not participate in all performances of the upcoming "Hello! Project 2021 SUMMER" starting in July.
We will keep an eye on Sato's other activities and make a decision as needed.

I wonder how she must be feeling about having to miss so many activities.

As someone who has had IBS for around 15 years, it SUCKS. It can be managed somewhat with diet but stress/anxiety is also a big trigger. The abdominal cramps have made me throw up from the pain during a bad bout. And the only way to relieve the discomfort is to use the bathroom, which... well, if you're doing a two hour concert it isn't really something you can depend on the freedom to do. It really does manage your life in terms of how far you can go without a bathroom close by if you get a flare up. It can go into remission which is the best feeling ever (being able to take a forty minute bus ride without a panic attack was GLORIOUS) but it's unpredictable when and if that will happen. Poor Maa-chan.

Hello! Project presents "Solo Fes. 2", a big event where 51 members from Hello! Project's Morning Musume '21, ANGERME, Juice=Juice, Tsubaki Factory and BEYOOOOONDS will give solo performances.

At the "Solo Fes!" held in July last year, a total of 52 Hello! Project members performed self-produced solo performances, which drew a great response from fans. After all the performances, all the members voted. Kawamura Ayano, aka "Kawamuu" of ANGERME, who performed "Sunao ni Amaete" by Juice=Juice with her tap dance, won MVP and was given the right to produce her own TV show special on TV Asahi Channel 1.

This year's "Solo Fes!," a glamorous and serious stage for the members to test their abilities as artists, will be broadcasted and distributed for about 5 hours on August 16th (Mon.) on TV Asahi Channel 1 and SKYPerfecTV On Demand.

What kind of unique performances will the members give as they compete to win a produced TV show? And who will be the MVP?

On Friday, August 13th, "Hello! Project presents 'Solo Fes! 2' Pre-Show Special" will be broadcast on BS-SKYPerfecTV and SKYPerfecTV On Demand, showing the lottery to decide the order of performances and a look back at last year's "Solo Fes."

In September, a "Behind the Scenes Special" will air on TV Asahi Channel 1 and SKYPerfecTV On Demand, showing behind-the-scenes footage of the day of "Solo Fes. 2" and the voting process.

And as a "reward" for the MVP winner, a special program produced by the MVP winner themselves will air in October.

Hello! Project presents "Solo Fes.2," a major event that will heat up August of 2021.
Please look forward to the activities of Hello! Project artists that will continue through September and October with the same heat of midsummer!

This year, too, we are looking for song requests with the passion of fans! We will be accepting requests for H!P songs to be sung by the members via Twitter and the application form.

The members will select the songs to perform based on the requests from the viewers and perform them at the "Solo Fes!"

In addition, this year, the MVP winner will also get to sing the song that was the most requested in the special reward program afterwards!

The application period for song requests is from June 4th (Tue) 12:00 to June 10th (Thu) 23:59 JST.
The fans will be the ones who make "Solo Fes. 2" a success!

How to request a song

Post a message on Twitter with the hashtag "#HelloProSoloFes" (#ハロプロソロフェス) along with the following three items :

1) Name of the member you want to request
2) The name of the group to which the member belongs
3) The Hello Pro song you want them to sing.

UC for 4+ years, so definitely familiar with the misery you described.
They've come a long way with treatments for those things, so hopefully they can find a plan that works for Maa-chan.

Wonderful! It was a lot of fun and I swear every fan I've seen talk about it has wanted them to do it again. Maybe this year they can let them use non-concert/single costumes.
