"Endangered Turtle Soup?"

Abe Natsumi was in Okinawa to shoot her "écru" photobook. While there, she saw a small turtle crawling across the road. She worried about it getting run over, so she picked it up and carried it to the beach where she thought it was trying to go. Unfortunately, that particular species of turtle:

a) was a land-only reptile and couldn't swim much less survive in saltwater; and

b) was designated an endangered species and a national treasure of Okinawa.
