Why? Two of the most popular members of Golden Era Morning Musume officially reuniting twelve years after a scandalous break-up, with each of them having become even more famous (or infamous) in the time since then — that's relatively big news, and it's probably the main reason why many in the audience are there in the first place. It will almost certainly be on all of the morning shows, maybe even the lead item in the "Entertainment" corner. So Up-Front would be foolish not to leverage it as much as possible. The rest of HinaFes is just another idol concert, as far as non-fans are concerned.

From your posts regarding how you and society view the W reunion I see your point however the event is still billed as "Hello! Project Hina Festival" so I would still expect it to be opened by actual, current members of Hello! Project whether it's a group or an all member performance.

I have so much to say but a little too jumbled you say it.

First- Oh. She got thicc. Like dang America would like her. Japan, not so much.

Second- I'll need to check later what songs I had guessed Riho and Sayu would perform. I feel like I might've called some of the songs.

Third- Oh. She still got it. She still performs with an effortless confidence but turns into this shy awkward girl when she's not. God, I missed her. I didn't honestly think this would ever happen.

Fourth- Fantasy. ga Hajimaru. ?. Oh fuck. Yes. This setlist. Good job, UF*. Good, freaking job.

Mizuki and Wada emphasized that this was the last event for the 20th anniversary celebration of HP.

They were a part of HP. All MCs were about how touched and excited they were to see them.

Momusu 1st gen opened last year too.
