Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but Maki Goto has a book called Ima no Watashi Wa『今の私は』coming out October 5th and is doing a handshake event at HMV books Shibuya on October 7th. Additional tickets have been made available to the handshake event due to popular demand.

This is most likely why we're seeing her on variety shows more lately.

Asuka Fukuda, the first member of Morning Musume to graduate (in 1999) is currently performing with a three person unit "YPP" headed by Kenichi Kitagawa of former rock band Road of Major.
They are lecturing and performing at schools and events that help to inspire.

a new show on Tokyo MX channel called "Bakusho Location Hunter" will premiere on 10/4. Okai Chisato will be the main MC of the show. Angerme Takeuchi Akari and Kasahara Momona will be guests on the first episode.
