Genki Sudo no longer performs with WORLD ORDER; he now only works as their producer. There is a clear difference in their recent releases, which is why I haven't posted them here. So… meh.

The last few releases before he left — the ones in which he got political — weren't that great either, in my opinion. (Y'know, the usual story of of an entertainer who thinks he can use his success as a soapbox but ends up throwing away the mainstream appeal that made him successful.) As far as I'm concerned, the whole thing peaked in 2013 and then went downhill in 2014. So… double meh.

You might still enjoy yourself, of course, but be aware of what you're getting.

Song is called HandClap. I saw June 10th as the release date. Self-titled third album.

I like it a lot. So excited for the album.

Good to know. Of course, I'll be going to J-Pop Summit regardless, as I've done every year since its inception, even when the musical line-up was less than stellar (2011, I'm looking at you!). Even if WORLD ORDER is a total bust (and I don't think it will be), there's still Silent Siren and undoubtedly several more acts to be announced.

Speaking of events I go to every year, Japan Nite S.F. was fun last night, even though three of the bands were unable to come because of visa problems, including Kao=S, the one I most wanted to see. jungles!!! (an all-female punk band, featuring members of Red Bacteria Vacuum) were the highlight for me. At the end of the show, all the artists got up on the stage together for a beer-fueled jam session that at times morphed into "Smells Like Teen Spirit", "Walk This Way", "Purple Haze", and "Billie Jean".

Wikipedia wrote:The trilogy is a satirical, postmodern, science fiction-influenced adventure story; a drug-, sex-, and magic-laden trek through a number of conspiracy theories, both historical and imaginary, related to the authors' version of the Illuminati.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Illuminatus!_Trilogy

It -- along with the Principia Discordia and the Church of the SubGenius -- was very popular among certain classes of geeks from the late '70s through the early '90s.

Unfortunately, since that time, the whole thing has been reduced to a stupid, oversimplified Internet meme: saying "Illuminati confirmed!" whenever you see a triangle.
