6th Station ~Other Bands for H!P Fans~

I've been listening to Osaka Syunkasyuto (大阪☆春夏秋冬) quite a lot lately, in part because they actually do a lot of stuff with a classic rock sound (including some good covers), but also because I'm hooked on Maina's vocals.
This one starts out with about four minutes of very entertaining ultra-violence, then turns into a great retro-R&B ballad.
Such dramaaaaaaaaaaaaaa in the PV, but her voice and performance totally hook me in...

While I was watching this, I kept thinking "She's like a Disney princess. She would be perfect for a Japanese version of the Disney Channel, if they ever had one."

And then I checked her other videos on YouTube. She is a Disney princess.

Though the avex channel did lead me to this, which confused me for a little bit.

Looks like a pretty entertaining one-woman show. That unicorn costume has me curious now.

Hmm, in some of her costumes she looks a bit like Yossi.

A much more entertaining Yossi than actual Yossi.


I'm sure I've said this before, but Shinozaki Ai has a way way better voice than the description "gravure idol turned singer" would lead one to think.

And she shot this PV in my neck of the woods too. What. I'm still hurting over missing Crystal Kay and Perfume (the latter for reasons outside my control.) I really gotta be more in tune with what is going on in the local Jpop scene.
