More UUG on the news...

Firstly, from billboard Japan:
http://www.billboard-japan.com/d_news/detail/16617
The news was actually about The Possibles' concert on 11/24 in Kyoto. UUG and Kikka were guests. I think they announced the 3 man show at this concert.
The Possibles had a live band, the UNICORN. The lead guitarist, 手島 ( Teshima Isamu ) said next year he would want to see them ( The Possibles, Kikka and UUG ) at Budokan.

Secondly, from an unexpected news source, Asahi Shinbun:
http://www.asahi.com/and_M/interest/entertainment/AUT201311200116.html
News about UUG X Oomori Seiko 2 man show, made it into Asahi Shinbun's "Interest" news category.

Just in from JoseiJishin.

Announcing the opening of a new idol website for girls called 女女DOL ( JojoDol ).
So what does this have to do with UUG, you might ask. Coz they are on the article's picture, together with Crayon Pop. Which looks very much like a website's banner. Could it be the new site's banner! :o No URL has been given yet.

I wonder if it is time for the Up Up Girls (仮) to retcon the 仮? For years they have been saying that it meant that the name "Up Up Girls" was a temporary name. However, it looks like their permanent name. So, instead, I think they should start saying that the temporary is a reference to the Up Up Girls being like "temporary help". While most idol groups work full time for a single producer (or team of producers) and are like full time employees, the Up Up Girls work for a variety of unrelated DJ's and are like freelancers.

^I was thinking about it too recently. They cannot afford to drop the(仮)because it has become their symbol.
I would re-define(仮)to mean that they would keep on evolving to go UP another level, always a "work in progress".

Didn't they say that they would stop the (Kari) part when UUG gets a major debut? It hasn't happened yet. I see no reason to stop with it.

Yes that was what they said more than a year ago. The situation now has changed tho with the (仮)mark has become synonym to Up Up Girls, in the context of idols.

In their blogs, Up Up Girls announced that their 12/22 Christmas event, クリスマスイブイブイブ決戦, at Yokohama Red Brick ( 横浜赤レンガ倉庫1号館 3Fホール ) is SOLD OUT. A good year end for the girls. I'm proud of them for what they have achieved this year ^_^

I thought they were changing what AKB stood for (from Akihabara).

Found an article where Asahi Shinbun interviewed UUG back in 2013-10-17. Includes a member introduction video.

Could anyone help translate the interview? :)
