And S/mileage participated in this, they won the newcomer award against idol groups like Tokyo Girls Style and Momoiro Clover notably.

There's heaps of groups Juice=Juice is competing with right now, such as HKT48, Sakura Gakuen and LinQ for example. It's going to be really hard for them if they're trying to get that award. But tbh, Juice=Juice aren't working to the standard that S/mileage were at that time yet: S/mileage before the award, were already doing their first solo concert with the 4 of them, Saki had her Oha gig, the other 3 had their Lilpri gig, on top of heaps of events and radio show appearances.

The Japanese media calls it "Idoru Sengoku Jidai" ( the warring idol period ) or something close to that. Thats what we meant :)

It's war in the sense that there are many strong/popular idols out there and it started thanks to AKB becoming popular and with that people started paying more attention to idols. Thus Momoiro Clover's popularity etc. And all of this started in 2010.
And, like someone mentioned, it's named after the real warring states period of Japanese history (approx. 1467-1568) that they're now saying this is the "Idol warring states period". Nothing more, nothing less.

Juice=Juice has had one indies single. At the time S/mileage won that award they had had four indies singles, and three major singles. You can hardly compare Ju=Ju's one (very successful) indies single, to what S/mileage had at the time that they won.
Besides, a big reason to WHY they won was because they were up against Koreans anyway and the old guys who decide on who wins this or that didn't want them to win.

I know. That's what I meant, they haven't really started to work hard yet.

That's true, but other idol groups were still eligible to be nominated. I always thought that the reason why SNSD weren't going to win it was due to the fact at that time they only released 2 translated singles and hadn't been promoting that much in Japan. So it'd be unreasonable for them to win it.

Well, my prof. in Showbiz whatever that class was called, I took back then said Smileage got it because the higher ups didn't want Kpop idols to get it. And considering who he was and how Japanese people are, I trust him on that.

It was

There was a corner where she looked up

It made me think it was somehow wonderful!

There were lots of songs I’d heard before,

I’ve gotta make her songs we’ve been allowed to cover

She was saying that at 5 in the morning
she makes bentos for her children (ノ∀\*)

I’ll also work hard

Work hard and learn well from your senpai, Airi.

Hassenchi has it bigger though.

Would this make Harunan "Rokusenchi"?
