New group, consistent promotion, decent dvd content and bonuses for buying cds, using the non-shitty cd+dvd cases that basically every single other artist uses for singles

Riho...lines wise. Put her in the center of pictures give her solo dance breaks in every single idc but stop giving her so many lines she can't handle

C-ute comes to the east coast and H!P is consistent with their promo.

SATOYAMA Life and Girls News being the replacement for more entertaining shows. D: i'd prefer having HelloPro TIME back any day over these, though of course going back to something like (an updated version of) Hello! Morning would be a downright dream come true.

What was the most disappointing thing?

Not-so-stylish outfits for awesome singles (123's were good, but then the PV was kinda meh).
No #1 weekly on Oricon for Momusu. They certainly have the sales for it if only they'd pick a good week for release!! Next time for sure.

Out of the new members, who's your favourite?
Sakura, don't see enough of the trainees to rank them above her (and as far as late-2011 new members: Haruka!).

Whose graduation are/were you most sad about?
Gaki. i still miss her voice in Momusu, the vocals just aren't the same after she left. The songs are awesome, but they would be about 50x better with some Gaki in there and less synthesizing (don't have to take it out completely, just use less of it).

Which releases of 2012 were your favourites?
All Momusu's a-sides, Aitai na, Kanashiki Heaven, WANT!, Doki Doki Baby/Tasogar Kousaten, Suki yo Junjou Hankouki (if i don't count the outfits), Samui ne, Hatsukoi CIDER, ForeFore.

Dot Bikini, Forest Time, Be Genki

Overall, which group had the best releases?
Momusu by far!! and to a lesser extent ℃-ute (they only had 2 singles but i liked all the songs on them.. plus i love that they did a self-cover album that had a fair amount of work put into it).

Overall, which group had the worst releases?
I was pretty pleased with all the releases this year, but perhaps the SATOYAMA singles if they count as one? I love that they finally did shuffles, but the theme and actual songs themselves (except ForeFore) do not live up to H!P's potential.

What would you like to see more of in 2013?
Songs by shuffles (preferably not the current ones except DIY, unless they're gonna start making more memorable releases), photobooks, awesome songs, increasingly better choreography (it's definitely going in a good direction but still has room for improvement!), gutsy promotion (like 109 billboard!! and the giant posters in the trains stations~), variety TV appearances.

What would you like to see less of in 2013?
Synthesized vocals.. i love me some dance music, but i also prefer hearing the girls' voices (especially when performing live.. no more recordings please!! i don't care if they sound bad ). Less goods designed to steal my money (i'm all for more creative goods, but when you add a bunch of gacha gacha and posters and stuff that you need to buy multiple of to get your favorite one, it becomes impossible to afford ).

What are your hopes for 2013?
Momusu #1 weekly!!
Basically the opposite of all the things i listed in my disappointments.

More releases from Buono!
Please have secondary outfits for a PV regularly.. especially when you're doing PV's that also have off-shots. Was something like Naichau Kamo and Shouganai really so hard?? It helps PV's look more professional. Please do this WAY more often in 2013, H!P.

i mean it's bound to come soon, but please wait until 2014. With Reina leaving i really really really need Sayu to buy me some time to start feeling like 9ki/10ki/Sakura can carry the group by themselves (in a non-experimental/"we're beginning anew" way.. i want to feel like they're experienced and ready).

What was the most disappointing thing?
Aika's graduation. It wasn't a surprise but it was a damn shame because I think Aika was finally growing into her voice and finally had a defined role (as 9ki/10ki's direct mentor)

Are we including 10kis? Then Masaki. I love how she's becoming comedic fodder.

Morning Musume minus Pyoko Pyoko. I remember being really scared that MoMusu was heading into a uber-cute style but the rest of the year disproved that.

Weekly no.1 for MM, plus Kohaku and Music Station performances.

MM's song quality going down after Reina's graduation. New managers fucking things up. UFA losing their current momentum they have going right now.

Having only one 11th generation member.
Runner up: Reina+Tsunku starting a band.
Honorary mentions: The return of Kosuga Fuyuka in good health, the addition of almost all 11th gen finalists to the Kenshuusei, learning to love Meimi, and Yamaga Kanae leaving.

What was the most disappointing thing?
How quick and underwhelming the 11th generation auditions were.
Runners up: Niigaki didn't get just one more single under her belt, no new acts (permanent or otherwise) including Kenshuusei members.

Hello! Satoyama, shitty outfits on Kanon, MM not being invited to popular shows.

What are your hopes for 2013?
A brand new group/soloist.
A Mobekisu single release.
A PonPon song (will also accept full single).
An H!P act gets a CM deal.
Iikubo Haruna/Fukumura Mizuki appear in popular magazines.
Another amazing Morning Musume musical.
Ikuta Erina slowly becomes more of a regular on variety TV.
Small Kenshuusei DVD releases (no extras needed, bare bones concert footage).
That Sakura manages to live up to the hype.
More anime/manga related activities (video games also accepted).
More drama and movie appearances.
A #1 single for Morning Musume (with lovely sales to match).
An interesting TV show that doesn't revolve around farming (if that continues, at least better choices on who sings the related songs.. and in some cases, just less boring songs).
A S/mileage single where Akari acts as a boy in the PV, "Mr. Moonlight"-style.
It Won't Happen, but I Want It: A manga about H!P.

What are your fears for 2013?
More Satoyama (the TV show).
Another quick Morning Musume graduation.
No new groups/soloists at all.
A sudden flop single for Morning Musume (sales-wise).
Even more shitty outfits on Kanon.
None of the girls I like getting to do much of anything.
Riho's singing not improving.
Apprehensive, not fearful: More S/mileage auditions/graduations.

Doing this took long enough (and I still feel like things are missing), there's no way I could list favorite and least favorite releases.
