Ogura Yui will be playing the character Kokona in the January 2013 anime series "Yama no Susume".

"The original manga tells the story of the childhood friends Aoi, a girl who prefers staying inside and who has acrophobia, and Hinata, a girl who loves mountains. The two decide to climb a mountain in order to once again see the morning sun from its peak, as they did when they were young."

So for this season's anime we have ...

Ishihara Kaori as Aladdin in Magi

-Main character, kinda weird because i would have thought Aladdin's supposed to be a dude and Kaori's voice is way too feminine for that. But she can definitely pull off the honest, almost childlike innocence the character has. The anime is pretty interesting so far, definitely following this


Ogura Yui as Kanda Yuko in Sakuraso na Pet no Kanojo
-haven't made an appearance yet and i'm not familiar with the ln. First episode was ok though...might be worth following

From my experience, voice actors are primarily female. Young boys are almost exclusively voiced by women.

But there may be a twist where it turns out that Aladdin's a girl? That chest-wrap thing seems quite unnecessary otherwise.

Yeah, there are lots of female voice actresses.

Also, lol, in Little Busters! (another anime airing this season), the main male character is voiced by Horie Yui. Then again, he's hardly a man, so.

About Aladdin, I was thinking about the checst-wrap too It will be a nice twist if Aladdin is a girl. We had King Arthur as a girl so why not
