If the video/audio is of people other than H!P members (who are not other professional entertainers), it should go in here... is my take on the situation. ^^
I'm considering merging this thread with the fanart/etc thread. Y/N?

^ the girl on the left is good! some issues but fairly minor in comparison to others i've seen. she's the only cover that i've watched so far that does justice to all the parts i keep an eye out for (such as chest-popping during after the "otome wa.." twirl, and keeping her form fluid during the "daisuki daisuki" parts). i think the best even including the cover with the group of girls wearing black filming in the white studio, but it's hard to tell because i could only keep my eye on so many girls at a time (i remember the Masaki-colored girl doing well, but i think there was something else i didn't like that she did).
the girl on the right has timing issues. she does some of the moves nicely.. but in general kinda messy.
edit: actually, i don't think i've seen Cuca's yet. i'll go watch hers and see if i still think this girl did best.
edit2: yep, still think so. Cuca needs some formal training to get a sharpness to her moves. she's clearly got all the moves down and isn't exactly messy, but needs to refine her style. and of course extra impressive is that she's the only one (one of the only?) that actually sings while dancing. :3

Yeah, the girl on the left is awesome. She does the serpentine "aa kono hoshi ni wa" really well. Most people look kind of ridiculous rising up from the ground but she makes it look cool.
The only criticisms I really have are the neck move after "dakara..." needs a little more oomph, and the hand spin at 3:41 needs more spins. Also at donna donna toki mo she loops her arm in a way I haven't seen. It looks really good, but I don't think it's actually part of the dance.
However, the girl on the right is more spirited. And she looks a little like Riho at points.

Hey despite the fact I am aware of most of my failings because I re-looked at my video a billion times, would you guys mind giving me that sort of pointers about my own dance cover? It does help, sometimes when I learn a dance I'm not paying attention to the right things.

i tend not to comment on people's videos because i really pick them apart.

not because i'm judging them/wanting to criticize, just because i love H!P choreography and watch it closely so i tend to notice all the parts that are not done the same and that's what i have to comment on. if you'd honestly want that it's something i can do, but as you have a background in dancing that seems especially the time when i wouldn't want to step on any toes.

I think because I have a background in dancing I am more than used to it, though my training is mostly classical, modern and belly dancing ^^;
