I was the first to bring up that Zukki was gaining weight. But that didn't mean I thought she was FAT. She just looked bigger. There's a whole lot of steps in between Skinny and Fat that a lot of people forget. You can get bigger without being FAAAAAT, you're just bigger, or chunky, or a little over the BMI. Zukki is def. bigger, no doubt, at this point I would not call her fat.

Oh, I understand. Anyway, it's nice to see an international male fan that feels that way about Risako. It's probably just me, but it seems like a lot of them dislike her.

I understand your point.

To me though, that just means that Japanese people are just averagely skinny, it doesn't necessarily mean that their standard is correct. Our BMI system in America is also innaccurate as it deems an athlete obese (when they're built like Buicks and are in much better shape than I could ever think about). If the Japanese think she's overweight that's their prerogative. However from my American viewpoint, that's a nice body type.

Now I should probably clarify on some things. I don't necessarily think all of the heavier types are attractive. For instance I'm not attracted to Maasa (I think termed used for her is "Massive"), but I think there is nothing wrong with her body type. I -do- think people like Yossi are attractive (even though she is super skinny).

I've been hearing that we interject our viewpoint on them being "lolfat" a lot too. If the Japanese females are "fat" by our viewpoints, then what are we ourselves? Obese? Skyscrapers? We're naturally bigger built than they are by just about any standard be it big-boned or just fat. It does not say a lot about our own type or at least how we judge ourselves if we're so harsh with them.

But, that's just my opinion.

A Japanese relative once told me that in Japan you're fat if you can grab your fat/extra skin with your fingers XD

About Risako: I don't think she has gotten as big as Maasa was during Busu ni Naranai Tetsugaku, but yeah, she has been noticeably bigger than the chopstick girls like Chinami. And I agree that she looks great anyway. Both Maasa and Risako look fantastic right now, I wish they'd stop going up and down so much with their weight

Man, it's kinda sad when I start typing "suzuki kanon" on Google, the second thing that comes up in the suggested search is "suzuki kanon weight." You get "sudou maasa fat" and "sudou maasa weight" though when you search for Sudou Maasa. LOL, this is slightly entertaining when you get "sugaya risako canadian" (before weight...)

Risako has a gorgeous face and she's tall (in Japan), so those help a lot, and she's the front girl in Berryz anyway. With Yurina and Maasa, who also have overall bigger structures, Risako looks fine... although it still looks funny in group shots too when you have tiny girls like Saki and Momoko next to Yurina.

Yeah, Zukki is definitely not "fat". Her chubbiness sticks out a little because of how the rest of the group looks. I mean, if you stick Rika in C-ute or something then she'd stick out too.

The outfit Kanon got doesn't make her look any smaller either, js.
In her own clothes in blog pics etc she looks perfectly healthy and normal. Maybe a bit on the chubby side but not unhealthy imo.

Oh hell yes then, more for me. Not that them disliking her is a good thing, but... my point is clear.

When Zukki looses the babyfat in her face it wouldn't be noticed as much as now when she gains a bit of weight after a concert tour ends. She probably lose it again with the H!P summer concerts and the MM autumn tour coming up.

This, really. In normal clothing she looks fine, and obviously smaller than in the "One Two Three" outfits (at least to me).

The top they chose to give her really makes her look wider/boxier (as it does on Reina, Riho, etc. - they just happen to be less busty and already pretty thin before putting it on). If Mizuki put that top on I think it would have a similar effect (since she's not stick thin, and she's also kind of busty). Had Kanon been given one of the longer tops I don't think we would be noticing it quite as much.
