Are we looking at the fall concert for being when the results are announced again?

Probably. The summer tour ends only six weeks from now, and that's not enough time for them to complete three more rounds of auditions.

EDIT: On second thought, maybe it is. The second round may take a while, but the third and fourth rounds could happen very quickly.

It'll probably either be the last day of the summer concert or the first day of the fall concert.

I think it'll be on the first day of the fall concert. And then the new girl/s will be able to come out every show and introduce themselves and maybe take part of a MC which would help the audience to get to know them little by little.

Guys~! I've been thinking. I really really love the 9th and 10th gen. The group as it is right now is so perfectly harmonized its amazing. All the girls get along great and appear to be having a blast. I'm usually the one to LOVE auditions, but now I'm starting to worry. I don't want anything to ruin the chemistry of the group.

I don't want another Aika or Koharu problem.

Just think about it!

Imagine in the final stages of the audition we have a bunch of girls and then Karin Miyamoto maybe add more kenshuusei or some awesome girls just as great as them.

And then in the end he picks the Mogi Minami (or Aika) of the group as a 1-nin gen.

And then everyone is forced to cry themselves to sleep knowing that girl got in instead of Karin.

We would all LOATHE her.

Then imagine she has a Koharu type personality and doesn't get along well with the 9th and 10th gen?

How miserable would that be?

Lets all hope for 2-3 girls... all awesome and hopefully one is Karin or another awesome kenshuusei...

I may be wrong, but I think Tsunku etc. have probably come to the conclusion that they can't do any more 1-nin gens, at least not for a while. I'm not even sure why they thought they could get away with it in the first place*, but I do think that having to compete with AKB has helped to (re-)sell them on the idea that more is better in the idol game.
(Although I liked Koharu, and Aika, and I'd even sort of like to see Mogi get a second chance with MoMusu -- as part of a 4-nin gen).

*Being ultra picky (and arbitrary/impulsive, on top of it) is a real luxury, and all the talk about "Aces" always rang false to me -- after all, didn't Morning Musume start out as a pack or deuces?

A lot of us agree though - the group right now is spot on, throwing a couple more girls into the mix that can't sing, photography, or dance yet is just going to throw everything off.

If we did all loathe her, so what? Why should the opinions on a English speaking bulletin board matter for a Japanese Idol group?

Especially when such loathing, like the loathing for Koharu and Aika, is completely irrational and childish. Koharu was a mistake in Morning Musume? MM needs more mistakes that sell as many singles as Koharu did in Kirarin Revolution. Was Aika a mistake? We'll never know since her career was derailed by an injury. Don't forget that Sayumi was the drizzling poops for some seven years before she came into her own.

Also, this loathing is irrational since it assumes that the other people who Tsunku could have chosen for gen 8 would have done better. Kikkawa in fact was not ready and really was done a great service by being in the eggs for four years. If she had been in MM, two years in we all be thinking who is the girl with the weight problem and weak sauce voice, and why didn't they pick Aika? Instead, Kikka gets to debut fully powered up and is now living the life.

Well maybe the whole add Maki Goto sales increase ten-fold added to the whole, one member gen is the way to go deal.

It would just be bad to try it again now. I mean, everyone knows barring scandal or someone straight up quitting, Reina's next in line to graduate. And a one member gen girl to me would look like she was Reina's replacement. That wouldn't fly. Unless this girl was the second coming. I think when this idea was tried out with Maki and Koharu, Momusu needed that media shot in the arm. And they don't need that right now since their 50th single gave it to them.

I'm just worried, since Aika's gone, Tsunku's gonna fill that void of girl I don't care for with someone.
