Does anyone know how long we had to wait from the announcement of the 10th gen audition to get any footage? I can't quite remember myself.

the 10th gen auditions were announced in May 2011. they didn't start showing the audition footage until till the 3rd round, which started September 2011 on Hello Pro Time. it took a little longer because the Smileage auditions were going on between those months (June to August) until the H!P Summer concert in August when Smileage new members were announced.

Well I'ma the Tsunk won't bring in any non-Japanese, seeing is how last time certain fans disliked and they got shoved into the corner anyway.

He's gotta be looking for someone to take the Reina portion of the lines once she graduates. I mean, I'm guessing by 2014, 9th gen will be the veteran gen. He needs that ace next to Riho... even though I'd like to see one of the girls already there try and fill that role, ah anyway there's no one in the group I currently dislike, this is Tsunku's chance to bring someone like that in. As for any eggs, my thoughts always been Tsunku pulls eggs when he's looking for a certain quality none of the applicants bring in so he'll use them as needed.

How old is the missing Jang, now?

She's 16 right now, will be turning 17 in September. So if they decide to bring her in for the auditions again, this will most likely be her last chance to try for Morning Musume.

The only way I would want her in the group though, is if she's improved (both in her singing/dancing as well as her personality/confidence) since the S/mileage auditions. She had definitely improved from the Korea auditions by then, but she was still really awkward and kind of uncomfortable to watch.

This seems to imply that the 11th gen audition was planned somewhat abruptly. I guess it's because Mistui had to graduate with very little notice, but... interesting to see, nonetheless.
