"Moreover, we considered what would be the right timing in her schedule and other plans, but thinking that, rather than a delay, a quick announcement and graduation would be less of a burden in many senses of the word
as well as make for simpler departures in the future, we've decided the graduation will take place alongside Niigaki Risa's. Please understand."
I'm not sure I like this statement.
Hopefully it's one of those that can be interpreted differently..

My 2 favorites. At once.
I'm currently trying to see what I can possibly to do be there.
If anyone, ANYONE has tips.. please help me.
not much you can do about airline tickets, but for lodging.. you can get some really cheap rates if you stay in a hostel (shared room/bathroom OR just shared bathroom):

http://airbnb.com/ sometimes has good deals (shared bathroom usually, because often the listings are an extra room in someone's house). some of them have weekly rates.
for airline tickets, the only advice i have is to use Kayak and mess with the details (which day you leave, which day you return) until you find the cheapest option. has anyone tried the "name your own price deals" flight+hotel deals? i hear you can get crappy hotels, but that might be acceptable in desperate situations.
for concert ticket you're in my current situation.. you're probably looking at the 20000yen range unless you're willing to accept bad seats (and those prices aren't a "good" seat, just not the reaally bad ones). though prices may go up the longer it is before you can buy one (but, assuming they're available, bad seats should stay within or below this range).
