Point here is that there is clever people behind this decisions. People with one or even two majors, and lots of experience in the business. Not trainees, but executives. So can this happen? Why are some many good songs condemned to be a b-side? And, when the b-side is as good or better than the a-side, why does Up-Front refuse to make double a-side? All they have to do is add an instrumental for the second song and that's it.
