Kumai Yurina and model husband shared a full body, side by side, couple shot. They attended a relative's wedding together.

Kumai Yurina, 181 cm, and her 187 cm model husband, in a tall shot, caused a stir: "Too picturesque" and "another dimension of a beautiful couple.

Well, it's a good thing Mr. Kumai isn't averse to wearing some heel

I can't wait to watch Chiichan's latest adventure :D

I didn't have much energy last week to translate Nacky's video :butbut: but here is some stuff.
Spoiler: show
Good mor~ni~ng~!
It's so briiight
Starting today it's test week, so I thought I'd do a little studying.
I woke up about an hour ago but still haven't cracked the books.
(text): I'm soaking up the coffee, you know.
It isn't that great, but I've gotten used to tests. For now all I can do is "give it a shot" kind of thing.

By the way, this (re-usable) cup is a recent purchase - it's cute.
New Zealand birds are printed on it.
I bought this at the gift shop.
Over here it's really a coffee drinking culture, so on break we grab coffee. I hate having to keep using those disposable cups, so I've been searching for one of these forever. I just happened to come across this nice one.

OK - Let's Do This!
*opening textbooks*
It's been about a year since I got here.
I understand where work needs to be done. My weak points are vocabulary and spelling... and after that pronunciation, of course.

*walking back upstairs*
(text)
It turns out my motivation switch wasn't turned on. (LOL)
Good luck to me!

(later, probably the next day)
So that's how things are. I mean, there wasn't any content there - sorry.
1:59 Right, the tests have been successfully completed, and the results are back. As usual, I would like to tell you how it went!
For me personally, this was my first test in a while. Was it twice that I skipped (tests)? The first time I skipped was when I went for a trip back to Japan. And the other time ... (missing)
The day right before the test I completely lost motivation. I couldn't study at all!
(overlayed text): Excuses (lol!)
I woke up early in the morning like, "I'm gonna study!". ... ...

... ... ...

Basically she's doing alright despite sometimes lacking motivation to study. Her grades were fine.

4:11 She's really bad at the task where you are given random words and have to organize them into a coherent sentence.

Her teacher says she is a friendly student with a good ability to charm her fellow classmates. ( Yes, I think we can imagine this :D ). She thanks her teacher for the complimentary remarks. It sounds like a high quality school that gives a detailed report on progress.

Even in Japanese she has a tendency to speak in a rapid and sharp fashion (はきはき) and the habit carries over into English. Unfortunately, this hurts her pronunciation.

She did really well at reading. She's used to reading some news and the like but she has never tried reading story books, so she thought she'd challenge herself by buying a storybook to read. She had trouble with the online shopping cart, and she doesn't feel like buying a physical copy from the bookstore because it would be heavy to cart back to Japan. When she did finally read a storybook it definitely was a challenge, as there were many words that were unfamiliar to her.

At the end she starts talking about her wristwatch that we may have noticed but then she is interrupted by a large text that says "obligatory ending!". The girl can talk!

She comments on how her hair has this startling 3-colour pattern going on. It looks better waxed, she reassures us.

I've read enough manga to know that Yurina better sleep with one eye open; that guy is way too good looking to not be a serial-killer and/or part-time soul-stealing demonic butler. :fear: Also his dad is CEO of some hospital or industrial conglomerate and his little sister visits way too often and demands his full attention while getting into various escapades.

Here's my translation of Chisaki's 9/25 video - What Happens in Vegas... Ends Up on YouTube ;)

Spoiler: show
Las Vegas - my first time going to a concert abroad

text: I'm getting on the plane (plane)

I promptly, bravely, spilled my milk tea (cry)
It's hard to see but I really wet myself (thumbs up)
Arrival.
(Las Vegas International Airport)
Then, linking up with friends at the airport.
It's dazzling. As expected, Las Vegas!
I came to see the water fountain.
(Bellagio Fountain)
It's hard to take a picture with the fountain.
(music show)

The first day was mostly just traveling and that's it W
Alright, see you tomorrow.

Day 2
spoken: Isn't this a lot of clouds??
Overcast - good morning Las Vegas~
How cheerful.
spoken: finally found it! so glad!
After 20 minutes of wandering around the building W

The menu here is once again spoiling me for choice!
(waffles arrive)
This thing is huge!
It's so big I just can't stop laughing W
spoken: hey look at this... it's got skin (banana). Amazing... but it looks yummy. I'm so hungry!
Looks scrumptious, right!
And this was my breakfast W
Everything tasted great.

(on the road)
It got sunny (sun)
After breakfast was done the sightseeing began!
Our next destination
(Seven Magic Mountains)
The weather just doesn't seem to want to cooperate (darnit)
The wind is really strong.
2:25 Everyone was taking photos like this
(missed)
If you go close they are pretty big!!
My friend tries to get everything in the frame (gratitude, heart)
so nice (gratitude, heart)
(spoken:)
It might be raining. W
It started raining, ,
RUN!
The raindrops were rather large, ,
I'm gonna remember this scene
(in the car)
I got right soaked
My bangs are saturated, crazy (lol, W)
Those clouds definitely look like it's raining over there.

3:15 Next we have shopping!
I got something~! (peace)
But I didn't buy that many things (not a bag full)
just one shirt, you see W
Happiness!
Shopping Over

3:29 (spoken)
I have some sad news
I lost my sunglasses ... WW
It's not really something to laugh about W
I'm really shocked.
Just this has made me quite down. (か)
I looked around the store for them, but they were nowhere to be seen. I can't use sunglasses anymore, because I left them in Las Vegas. And that's just what happened. This concludes my sad announcement.
Goodbye (wave, W)

Searching my memory I was able to figure out that I wasn't carrying them when I got to the outlet... which means...it must have been at this point that I lost them (running from the large-droplet rain).

Picking myself up and heading on to the next destination...
(on the bus)
The scene is totally different from nighttime (the version she saw on arrival)
4:21 spoken: I found Las Vegas right here! (a sign in the mall)
We didn't follow the landmarks, so we ended up getting a bit lost.
We're going to this place that caught my interest on Insta.
(Black Tap - craft burgers and beer)
This is a combination of milkshake and cake.
It looks super cute (heart)
Chii: is it tasty?
Friend: It has an American flavour.
WW
We took a cheki but it didn't turn out (for some reason). Too bad.
I didn't bring a re-load of film, so we weren't able to take even one shot (crying)
thank you for this meal~
Friend: it's like icing
Chii: yup - real sweet! Very American (feeling). (of course) it's a good thing WW (あ)
Yes, it's tasty.

5:29 Yes, it's rain (the 2nd time)
We returned once to the hotel but we got soaked.
The rain has let up, so on to the next destination.
The sound of thunder has begun (angelic) W
(big text:) We got done in by the rain again W
We got soaked in the rain (3rd time)
*laughing, arranging soaked hair*
Chii: I'm surprised they let someone this sopping wet into the establishment. WW
Everyone was looking W It's pretty wild huh? Just soaking wet. (さ)

6:03
We got to our goal destination, In-and-Out Burger.
(spoken:) So happy. Finally we got it.
It's cheap and tasty so a definite recommendation!
It's cute (the burger).

(spoken:) It's raining, but we're walking! There was no purpose to getting dry! I'm gonna get soaked again! (grimace)
A rainbow! Amazing, isn't it
Even with this much rain falling everyone is walking! W

text: Getting soaked by the rain (4th time)
*laughing*
text: It's a scary laugh WW
Chii: You have to laugh! WW

text: double rainbow (rainbow)
Chii: It's a moving sight. It's really strong.

text: We've arrived at our destination! (stadium)
This time the motivation for coming to Las Vegas was ...
Black Pink concert (Born Pink - World Tour North America)
It's my first time participating in a concert abroad!
It was really different from concerts in Japan, a new experience.
It was a blast! (cry, black-heart, pink-heart)
I totally bought merch.

Lastly, we saw the Freemont Street Experience
It was already late at night, so we went home soon! W
We were only able to go sightseeing for one day,
so there are still many places left that I wanted to visit (cry-laugh)
However, I did get to visit the minimum requirements.
All in all, the bad weather combined with everything made for a memorable experience! W
Thank you for watching (hearts)

あ: Japanese have a refined palate, which means they don't require a boatload of sugar in deserts (Banza~i!) If I'm not mistaken, the theory goes that it is this palate malfunction which causes Americans to be fat & stupid :whistling:

か: Her eyes look red and glassy here, like I think she was actually quite upset. But she bounced back well. What a genki Chiichan! :D

さ: This scene was pretty darn cute-n-sexy, right? (yabai!) Then it's followed up by "In-and-Out Burger" :o
I don't think it rains a lot in Las Vegas. Besides the tourists, there must be a lot of ... talent (read: hot chicks) around. Maybe soaking-wet hotties isn't such a strange sight in Las Vegas. I mean, skimpy clothing in public is pretty normal these days so...

So Chisaki's latest video is pretty entertaining, right?
I liked how she posed with the colourful stone monuments, like "this is how an idol poses with something impressive"

The video got me wondering again what the goal of this channel is. There was talk of trying to broaden the reach of H!P, into the West, like Kpop. Do you think Chiichan going to be performing as an idol again? Is her voice recovered now? How does the compensation for making these videos work, I wonder. Maybe they get a bonus for each video that meets a certain view-count threshold, or maybe the two of them simply get an equal share of the YT monetization.

After a few days this Las Vegas video already has as many views as her Afternoon Tea one - 11k - and more than her Saltspring Island one - 8.2k. I think it's a safe bet that this one should top the Night Market video, at 16k.

My understanding is that the girls are contracted employees that receive a regular base salary independent of if they do any work.(It's UF's job to find them work) This is a guess, but like Aika, Chichan and Nakky were sent by UF to learn English so they could in the future work as English speakers for UF. The video's don't seem to be tailored to foreign fans but to Japanese fans. So I doubt if the purpose is to broaden the reach of H!P into the west but maybe give the girls something to do.

I agree, the videos are definitely tailored to a Japanese audience. (Although, do they really need subtitles? It sure helps me out sometimes. Yeah, I know it's pretty normal for Japanese programming, but you'd think this target audience excludes senior citizens). Yup, I reckon they get a base pay. Also I wonder about film editing. it might be easier to give some guidelines to someone else and have them do it.

I can imagine Chiichan saying a version of that sad announcement monologue in English class  Come to think of it, I don't think she spoke any English at all in the video - too bad. That will be a future challenge for the girls. Nacky wrote a few paragraphs in English on Insta about a week ago. It was readable - understandable - but unfortunately it had a lot of errors :/ I applaud the effort, but maybe she's not quite ready to unveil compositions of that complexity and length yet. Of course, I can't be the only one curious to witness the progress of the reputedly sharper Chiichan. One year ain't a lot of time (there was also high school though).
