I don't think I'm in an area that'll be getting any snow (I haven't paid much attention), but it's been raining like crazy for two days. I hope everyone that got hit is doing alright.

Good to know I'm not the only one slammed with Vrbo ads. I'd happily give up a toe or something to never see one again.

I would also like to take this back. I would instead very much enjoy never seeing another pregnancy test commercial.

Found myself walking back from a neighbor's house in 8 degree (-13C) weather last night. Wasn't as bad as I expected though, the wind had completely died down and I was bundled up well. Today's expected to be much the same around here though in some western states the worst is already over.

And as usual, Southern California is supposed to be getting a Christmas heat wave. I'd be more than willing to donate a little warm weather to the rest of the US and Canada, although at this point, the difference is so extreme that it feels kind of like we're not even part of North America.

And tectonically, at least, we aren't - So Cal west of the San Andreas fault is part of the Pacific Plate, so we're basically just a bunch of random geological debris stuck to the side of North America, kind of like the loose stuff that accumulates at a storm drain.

I started filling in my MM collection for the early EDM era a few years ago by buying stuff when it came up cheap on ebay. At this point, I'm pretty much hooked on songs like One Two Three, Help Me!, What is Love?, and Ai no Gundam, all of which sound even better live, if anything.

Merry Christmas~
There's some melting snow on the ground but the temps here are hovering in the low 50s for the next week. All winter the temp goes up and down, we had -10 on Thursday.
I'm having a Merry Christmas. My one Christmas Eve present turned out to be a copy of Hitori Toiro from my husband. It's nice to have someone in my life who gets me foreign music without my exact direction.

Clearly you must be talking about Northern California.

We're actually supposed to get 少しの in the L. A. next week (although it's probably going to be あまりないの compared to up north).

It just struck me that smileys/emojis are next-generation kanji, since they function as semi-language-independent ideographs (or maybe emographs, but in any event, the term "logograph" just doesn't seem adequate), and animated smiley/emojis are definitely next, next generation. So eventually, we may all talk like this on line:
