I'm not a big fan of Gundam's alternate-timeline series; I grew up with Universal Century (UC), and I'm too old now to keep re-learning the setting. But as the alternate-timeline series go, Gundam 00 is supposed to be one of the better ones.

I personally like to think so. I've rewatched it several times (same goes for the movie), and enjoyed it immensely.
Plus there's more UC in it than one might think.

I've spent the last two and a half weeks watching the 1980s "Beauty and the Beast" TV series & subsequently developing a new obsession (DVD collection & 25th anniversary fan companion book secured, as early birthday gifts) and falling in love with Ron Perlman all over again. Now that I've finished it and won't have 3 hours of Perl voice before bed every night, I might just have to start re-listening to the poetry album before sleeping (or skimming sections of some of my favorite episodes on YT, either one works).

It's pretty amazing that a song that came out when I was a teenager has finally made it into the U.S. Top Ten. Long overdue.

Before "Running Up That Hill" hit the airwaves in 1985, my awareness of Kate Bush was minimal. I was very familiar with Pat Benatar's 1980 cover version of "Wuthering Heights" but didn't learn that it was a cover until 1984. Growing up in California's Central Valley, I'd never heard Kate on the radio, though I did see her "Sat in Your Lap" video on some weird syndicated music video show in 1983 or 1984. It was so strikingly bizarre that it grabbed my attention and never let go.
