Mine came from Pfalzgrafenweiler, about 100 kilometers south of there. I seem to still have a few relatives in Pfalzgrafenweiler - it looks like one of them was the town cop until a few years ago.

As if the baby formula situation weren't bad enough, now it's the peanut butter as well…
https://www.fda.gov/food/outbreaks-foodborne-illness/outbreak-investigation-salmonella-peanut-butter-may-2022https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/j-m-smucker-co-issues-voluntary-recall-select-jifr-products-sold-us-potential-salmonellaI go through a LOT of peanut butter, so I buy it in bulk when I can get it cheap (i.e., store sales plus coupons). If I heed this recall, I'll have to throw out about twenty bucks' worth. Normally I wouldn't worry about it, but now I'm thinking back to an incident last month — a moment of urgency, let's say — that was unexplained at the time. I really don't know if that incident was caused by this outbreak, and I've eaten more from the same jar with no further incidents, but now when I look at the additional jars that I've not yet opened…
Anyhow, yeah, you should probably check your own shelves.

The one time I'm happy we haven't needed to buy a new jar for a few months.

We’re a Skippy house. So thankful there hasn’t been a problem yet. I usually have a piece of peanut butter toast every morning.
Oh. And in solidarity with Morning Musume I have come down with Covid.
My boyfriend came down with it and informed me on Friday. I tested negative on Saturday morning but by that night I wasn’t doing so hot. Sunday I tested positive. It was way too quick to be honest. And it wasn’t till yesterday that my sister informed me she also has Covid. And probably had it for awhile. She was sick for a week 1/2 before with the “flu”. Both her and her husband aren’t vaccinated. I told her repeatedly to go to urgent care to get tested for flu/covid but she didn’t. She was adamant she didn’t have it because her home tests were coming out clear. She and I work together so when our boss he contacted her to get tested again. Turns out she was doing the tests wrong and the second test which was different from the standard ones came back positive.
So yeah, I got it from her. She’s now on the mend and I’m thankful she didn’t get it worse than she did.
Thankfully it’s just my sinuses that are majorly effected but man does it suck because this was a busy week for me at work and now it’ll be double the work for me when I get back.
I’m going to Chicago in June for a trade show and still a lot to do.

I ran into one of my sister's old high school boyfriends (they've been friends for about 35 years) when I went to see
Robyn Hitchcock in Oakland last night. He got free tickets to see the show, because his friend who had originally bought them got Covid.

Was going to be more open-minded with the subway in Philly but last night when I got on the train my nose started feeling irritated and then there was also a half eaten plate of spaghetti on the floor. Then some teenagers went to sit by it like it’s normal.

And on a crowded train, it would be just toooo easy to step on that spaghetti!

Japan is opening it's borders this week for traveling foreigners, but you have to be chaperoned the whole time by a tourist guide group and can't roam freely yet or risk getting kicked out of Japan.

They could make H!P tour for foreigners.
Visit the H!P shops, see sites of music video shoots, eat at places featured in H!P, go to a H!P event or concert. Visit a Tower Records. Get a full fan experience! It would be expensive as heck but worth it for a once in a lifetime experience. Which is what it means to a lot of foreign fans.
