ANGERME Kawamura Ayano becomes Japan's ninth person, and the 1st woman, to successfully pass the "1st class tuna dismantler exam"

There is an idol who has earned the title of "Japan's first". It's Kawamura Ayano (22) of the popular Hello! Project group ANGERME.

It turns out that she has recently passed the extremely difficult "1st Class Tuna Dismantler" exam, of which only eight people in Japan are certified.

She is the ninth person in Japan and the first woman to be certified and licensed. She has a dynamic side that you would not expect from her adorable smile and has vowed to become even more powerful as an idol.

She was born in Kochi and became familiar with seafood when she was in elementary school, doing PR activities for fish. Her specialty is cutting skipjack tuna, and she has always wanted to cut tuna, so when the Corona struck, she decided that she wanted to study.

There are three levels of tuna dismantlers, and only the first level is certified to perform dismantling shows. For almost a year, she took online courses to learn about the parts of the tuna, their characteristics, and how to talk about them. For the practical training, she spent about eight hours a day in the classroom.

In the real test, she was facing a tuna that was about 20 kilograms and over a meter long. She used three different types of knives, including one that was about 1 meter and 20 centimeters long, and explained the parts of the tuna, while boldly cutting off the heavy skull.

Her voice is higher than men's, so when she first started taking the course, the instructor advised that her voice was not rough enough. She learned how to speak in a thick voice, using the Kochi dialect, and passed the test "as if she were a fisherman".

She said, "I move my mouth while singing and move my body while dancing. It's the same as handling fish while talking. It's all about how to make it fun for the audience," she says. "I wanted to do a disassembly show," she says. Her entertainer's blood is boiling.

My dream is to do a dismantling show at a live concert," she said, "I hope I have the opportunity to show off in front of my fans and have them eat the tuna I've sliced. I feel stronger when I think that I'm the only woman in Japan who can do this. The confidence she has gained makes her shine even brighter."

Today it is announced that Morning Musume. '21 Yokoyama Reina is appointed as the "Cheer Ambassador" for her favorite team, the Urawa Reds Ladies Soccer Team in the 2021-2022 season.

Urawa Reds Ladies is a Women's soccer team based in Saitama Prefecture. Yokoyama Reina, a native of Saitama and a regular supporter of the Urawa Reds (Red Diamonds), will serve as a cheering ambassador from October until the end of May 2022, supporting the Reds Ladies to hopefully becoming the first champions of the WE League, Japan's first women's professional soccer league, which opened in September this year.
