If we get new members, it will help us grow.
--The audition for new members of Tsubaki Factory is going on right now, but how did you feel about having new members?
Niinuma: I was surprised at first, but I thought it would come soon.
Asakura: Oh, so you were thinking that.
Niinuma: So, in my mind, I didn't have any negative feelings because I felt that it had finally come. I was happy to see that it was going to be the next step like the older groups.
Akiyama: On the contrary, I didn't expect any new members to join. I thought we'd just keep going with this group and break up together someday.
--Like Berryz Kobo or C-ute?
Akiyama: I was really surprised because I imagined it would be like that. But now I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of girls will join us. I've always been the youngest, but now I'm going to be the senior, so I'm wondering how I'll treat them.
Asakura: So you're going to be a big sister.
Akiyama: The recruitment period was up to the second year of high school, so there are definitely younger ones coming in. I'm also looking forward to seeing how many younger kids will come.
Asakura: I was also shocked at first, but I guess that's how it goes. I'm happy to think that the addition of new members will help us grow and expand the range of our music. I'd like to welcome them all with open arms.
--Will you keep the neat and dainty image of Tsubaki Factory under the new system?
Niinuma: That's been the meaning of the group name since its formation.
Asakura: We're going to keep the base of the group and expand the range.
