Last week on Hello Dream there was an announcement at the beginning of the show, but this week, there there's an important announcement at the end.

- Continuing the same format from week, Hello Dream will hype up the ability test and introduce the next five Kenshuusei in the Ability Test order one by one. They show how much they have grown the past year. The test is next week! This time they kind of rushed through them pretty quickly.

5. Hirayama Yuki - Rock no Teigi (Tanaka Reina)
~ This is Hirayama's 2nd test. Flashback when Hello Dream started, the H!P seniors noticed Hirayama has potential with her voice. At her first test last year, she had a hard song to sing, that challenged her rhythm. She wasn't happy with her result, and says "please expect a lot more from me" next time. Over the past year, she has gained confidence and is working hard to expand her skills. She even won the vocal selection audition.
~ Hirayama says to pay attention to how much work she put in to practicing "Rock no Teigi" and the outfit she will be wearing.

6. Ebata Kisaki - VERY BEAUTY (Berryz Kobo)
~ This is Ebata's 2nd test. They flashback to last year's test where she sang her song, but the judge noticed she didn't smile enough. She cried backstage. Fortunately, the broadcast had trouble and she was lucky to get a 2nd try at it. After that, Ebata Kisaki has had an image change since her first test. She got praised by the teacher for showing that she has practiced and grown. She even won the dance selection audition.
~ She chose VERY BEAUTY because it will show much she has matured.

7. Uemura Hasumi - Otona na no yo! (Berryz Kobo)
~ Uemura is taking her 2nd test. Uemura has been trying to overcome her shyness and nervousness on stage. At last year's test, she got nervous in her performance and her voiced cracked. She felt frustrated with herself and cried backstage. Over the past year, the teacher has been pushing to her to not be shy and put out her voice. The teacher has noticed that she grown a bit.
~ She wants everyone to pay attention to both her singing and dancing. She wants to show that what happened last year to her voice, won't happen again.

8. Onoda Karin - Do it! Now (Morning Musume)
This is Onoda's 3rd test. At last year's test, she showed that she had more control of her voice. She was chosen for the Makoto award. Over the past year, she had been trying to be more confident with her voice, but sometimes she had trouble with it.
~ Feeling confidence in her voice, she wants to show that she has practiced this song. Pay attention to her cool looking outfit.

9. Matsubara Yulia - Are you Happy? (Morning Musume. '18)
Matsubara is taking her 4th test. At last year's test, she had everything going right in her performance, but she fumbled her surprise red confetti throw. She was chosen for the Katsuta Rina award. She practiced really hard for the selection auditions, but she didn't pass. It was frustrating for her.
~ Flashback to a photoshoot, Matsubara looked up her senior Kenshuusei members Tamenaga Shion, and Kubota Nanami for guidance. Now that Tamenaga is with ANGERME and Kubota is with Kenshuusei Unit, Matsubara says it is frustrating but she has to move forward.

~ Two big announcements for June at the end :

Hello! Pro Kenshuusei Recital June 2021 ~Rainbow~ will be held on June 6th at Zepp Tokyo and June 20th at Zepp Namba!

It's so nice they all (thus far anyway) seem to have much more confidence this year. It's really upping my excitement for the Test.

I won't keep my fingers crossed for announcements at the Unit live, but I do have hopes for that setlist.

The 5/29 Hello Pro Kenshuusei 2021 Spring Public Ability Assessment Test will be streamed live on the "HELLO! PROJECT STREAM ONLINE STORE" site. Tickets to viewing and voting are 3,200 yen. Tickets to viewing, voting, and a pamphlet is 4,800 yen. Those who purchased a ticket can watch the archived stream till 5/31. You can vote the "Best Performance" one time only per ticket. Voting is on the members only page on the "HELLO! PROJECT STREAM ONLINE STORE"
