Thanks. I expect a feeding frenzy when the new eligibility tier opens up, but we'll see what happens....

I was able to get my appointment yesterday at a local CVS; eligibility just expanded on Monday. Granted, California's population is almost 10x the size of Alabama's, but it's definitely worth checking if you can get an appointment there or any other nearby pharmacies.

I checked on their website, and it looks like every CVS within a 100-mile radius is fully booked at present. And that's just people who are already eligible. All Californians over 50 become eligible on April 1st, and all Californians over 16 on April 15th, so that will really open the floodgates for vaccine demand here.

The mass vaccination site at Oakland Coliseum, which has been administering about 6000 shots per day, is supposed to shut down in mid-April, but Alameda County is negotiating to take over and keep it open.

^ When I was trying to get an appointment with CVS, it seemed like new appointment slots open up every morning, so I'd try checking on that. At first I thought I would have to go from DC all the way to Alexandria, but I managed to get an appointment much closer in Arlington and for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which means I only had to get one dose. There was also no line and barely any wait time when I went for my shot.

Every Friday since I went on the waiting list for the Covid shot they’ve been sending me text message updates. This week I got a fancy code! I don’t know what it’s for because the rest of the message was just reminding me I’m on the list.

I just checked CVS for my area, and it looks like the only spots open in Southern California right now are out past San Bernardino (about 50 miles away). I'll keep checking, but at this point, I'm inclined to wait until the demand clears up a bit.

TU, they are currently taking appointments at Cal Poly Pomona. My aunt got hers there yesterday.

I used to be a '320kbps mp3 is good enough' guy when it came to ripping my CD's.

But lately I've been re-ripping some of them to Apple Lossless and listing to them through some decent headphones.
I don't claim to be an audiophile or have golden ears, but it does make a difference.

I was using the Sennheiser MOMENTUM 3 Wireless for a few months already and got the new B&O Beoplay HX today.
I just wish I could merge the two. The Sennheiser has great bass, fold ups (auto turn on/off & pairing as you do so) and has physical controls.
But I find the B&O more comfortable to wear, the headband adjustment is more solid and it has 35 hours of battery life.

I listened to my lossless rips of Morning Musume's '10 My Me' on both of them today and it's like rediscovering that album all over again. :thumbs-up:

I’ve been listening to the Morning Musume albums in order in an attempt to rank them and it’s been so hard! I thought I knew what I liked but I find that older albums are holding so many hidden gems I forgot about! It’s just became harder.

But aside from that listening to H!P songs in my new car, which has some amazing sound, I’m finding parts of the song I didn’t even know were there.

You have no idea how nice it is to just drive down the highway blasting some classic H!P.
