This week, the "Team Competition Audition" is on. The 3 teams compete for the main stage. The selected song is "Watashi ga Iu Mae ni Dakishimenakya ne". Which team will win, Team White? Red? Tamamushi?

Janken (rock-paper-scissors)

- On audition day, the 3 teams start to prepare and make adjustments up until the last minute.
- Team White goes over the dance once more. The team has have decided last minute to add a falsetto fake at the end of the song. Nakayama and Yofuu attempt it and compare each other's before deciding. They decided Yofuu should do it. She lets her voice try to go higher. In the interview, Nakayama said she made misanga (ミサンガ) friendship bracelets for the team to wear together during the audition. Their team friendship will last forever. Yofuu, Matsubara, and Uemura had their hairstyles arranged for this audition.

- Team Kurenai (Red) has already committed to performing an original choreography for the interlude created by Hiromoto Ruli. They show us that dance part. Everyone wore a red ribbon tied on their hair, which given to them by Hashida Honoka's mother. They formed a bond through their video calls.

- Team Tamamushi (Green Beetle) does a double check on their dance moves. The team has decided to stay true to the original. They remind each to smile and do one last practice.

BEYOOOOONDS new single "Now Now Ningen" and "Gekikara LOVE" CMs plays

- The teams gather together and listen to the judges Mitsubachi-sensei and Ueno-sensei, talking about what they expect to see from these teams, what these teams learned and do their best.
- Mitsubachi then asks the 3 leaders of the team to play rock-paper-scissors to decide the audition order. (This kind of helps break the tension and nervousness.) Nakayama wins for Team White and has decided they will go first. Kurenai is second, and Tamamushi picks last.
- They bring in a surprise judge, who knows a whole lot about the song. It's original member Miyamoto Karin! The Kenshuusei were surprised by the unexpected appearance.

- They show a short clip of each of their auditions, specifically the important parts where the teams added their own spin on the song. It was enough footage at least to get a judgement.
~ First is Team White, they perform the song and then comes in Yofuu's fake at the end. They did really well. But this last minute decision to add it could have cost them.
~ Next they cut to Team Kurenai's original dance. It was pretty good. They implemented it smoothly.
~ Last is Team Tamamushi, just performing it like the original.

- The judges discuss it and are ready to announce the winner. The winning team will get to perform at the Recital (both Tokyo and Osaka venues). The result will be announced after the commercial.
- The winning team is...Team Tamamushi! They jump for joy! Ueno and Mitsubachi explain their reasonings. They chose Team Tamamushi for their "simple is best" approach. The other teams start to cry after hearing their own criticisms and advice given to them. Team Kurenai must put more energy and never forget that. Ueno-sensei say she was impressed by Team White, that she was moved and could cry. She says it was amazing how much they practiced this. She was surprised by them adding the fake, but they need to keep practicing it.
- Camera shows Hiromoto Ruli and Nakayama Natsume with tears.
- As the teams listen to her, Miyamoto Karin points out what liked about each team, and offers some advice for all of them. She says all of them did an amazing job and they should be proud of themselves. Clap for a job well done. She says she knows how painful it feels to not be chosen. Use that feeling to keep doing better.
~ Miyamoto Karin says Team White's fake was impressive. She shares a story about the time she was recording this song. They originally asked her to attempt a fake for the song, but she didn't believe she could do it, and declined. She says Team Kurenai making their own dance is also impressive. It was very pro of them. She says Tamamushi was just a tad better than the others. She says to never forget this feeling and moment.
- After the audition, the teams expressed how they felt and react to the results.
~ Team Tamamushi : Yamada Ichigo is really happy. Hirayama is really glad to hear Miyamoto Karin's words.
~ Team White leader Nakayama Natsume lets her tears flow. She is proud and happy of her team, even though they lost. She believes her team worked really hard. The pain of not being chosen is always hard.
~ Team Kurenai leader Onoda Karin is very stoic, and accepts the result for her team. She says they put on a good performance.
~ The narrator says they have all grown and gain experience from this.

*imo, they should have all won. They put some much practice into this.
Also, this is redemption for Yamada Ichigo and Hirayama Yuki, who made a mistake in the previous recital (They were both taken out of a performance)

Next week 3/8 (Recital is on 3/7), the Kenshuusei "Vocals only" and "Dance only" selection auditions will be shown.

Were they trying to give them all heart attacks? That's right up there on the nervous scale with making the 9th gen ANGERME auditionees think their final evaluation was happening right in front of the group.

Hmm, I thought it made sense, Karin not only was she a former J=J member but she was also a former Egg. Like them she was in the trainee shoes learning and developing her skills in dancing and singing.

Hmm, I thought it made sense, Karin not only was she a former J=J member but she was also a former Egg. Like them she was in the trainee shoes learning and developing her skills in dancing and singing.

Oh, yeah, it definitely made sense. I just can't imagine how much more nervous they must've been with someone like that being a surprise guest.
