When I was in junior high school, I wanted to be a backup dancer.
I applied to join the Hello Pro trainee program, and now, thankfully, I'm a member of Tsubaki Factory!

I really didn't know what' was going to happen in my life!

This is what I want to do! This is what I want to be when I get accepted!
If you have even the slightest idea of what you want to do, please apply!

This is the first time we are recruiting new members through auditions, and I'm filled with a little nervousness and great anticipation, wondering what it will be like.

Hello! Project's idol groups "Juice=Juice" and "Tsubaki Factory" will hold a joint audition to recruit new members, it was announced at the YouTube channel "Hello! Station".

This is the first time for both groups to hold an audition for new members, and the first time for Hello Pro to hold a joint audition for two groups.

Kanazawa Tomoko, the leader of Juice=Juice, said, "This is the first time this will happen in the history of Hello! Project, so I can't help but look forward to seeing what kind of drama will be born from this. Kanazawa says "What I would like to see in Juice=Juice is someone who has a strong upward mobility. One of the reasons is that I myself have a longing for such a person, but I also think it would be very reassuring to have someone who is not reserved because they are a new member, but rather someone who can lead the older members and push forward.
It may take a lot of courage to apply for an audition, but please do! I hope you will seize this opportunity and seize your potential. I'm looking forward to the day when we can sing and dance together on the same stage."

If they are choosing from the same audition (and not two separate), it will be interesting to see how they will decide which new member goes to each group. What if a girl wants to be in Tsubaki but she ends up in Juice=Juice? Do they get to decide which group they want to audition for?

Yeah, agreed. I don't see why Tsubaki couldn't continue as a 8-person group.

It'll be interesting to see if H!P pretty much goes to all (or mostly all) generational groups at this point.

MM- Generational
Smileage- the intent seemed to be to keep it as a four person unit until Maeda and Ogawa filled which led us to...
Angerme- Generational
Juice=Juice- Generational, although it's unclear if this was intended either

Does this make it so that we see graduations come out of Tsubaki? And along with it regular auditions/member additions?

The hold out is now Beyooooonds; there's always so many members though so it'll be interesting if they eventually go generational, and when.

From last March, when Rei Inoue was added to Juice=Juice…

These days, the identities of H!P groups are based on broad themes […] rather than on particular groupings of members, so it's okay to add generations (previously an MM-only thing) and reassign members as needed in order to maintain the groups indefinitely.

It's all about maintaining their name recognition, brand equity, and customer loyalty. Like with sports teams.

Tsubaki Factory was actually generational. They added Ono Mizuho, Onoda Saori, and Akiyama Mao as 2nd gen

It is pretty impossible for Tsubaki Factory to dissolve when they haven't even accomplished some of their goals yet. They shouldn't leave with regrets. Saying they should just dissolve is saying you gave up on them.

Eligibility :
Females must be residing in Japan who are between the 6th grade of elementary school and the 2nd grade of high school as of January 22, 2021.
Applicants must not belong to or have a contract with any entertainment production or other entertainment organization.
The final screening may result in a "N/A" result.
However, if the applicant is recognized as having potential, we may recommend her to become a trainee of Hello Pro.
Trainees will be eligible for selection to future Hello! Project groups.
There have been many cases where trainees have actually made their debut.
*Hello Pro trainees are screened for their aptitude through daily training activities.

Judging Method :
Preliminary screening

Document and video screening. Please apply by mail or through the application form.
Designated application form (must be signed and sealed by a person with parental authority)
3 photos (1) Close-up of face, 2) Full body, 3) Free.
No "Purikura" photos.
Photos must be taken within the last month.
The maximum size of each photo is 3MB.
Please do not retouch or otherwise alter the photos after they have been taken.
3) One video
Please choose one song by Juice=Juice or Tsubaki Factory and send us a video of you singing the first part.
Please send a video of your upper body with choreography, no longer than 3 minutes.

If we find more than one application, the application may be cancelled.

Will kenshuusei have an opportunity to be picked or is it solely just picking someone outside of H!P this time?

My prediction is that for TF they will pick 2-3 girls who will look alike to the 3-4 members of TF who already look alike.

Tobo_Junny135: I'm guessing "Kenshuusei will be screened through daily training activities" is the new "Kenshuusei will undergo a parallel selection process" (since it's listed in the exact same place that usually is), so I assume they're still eligible.

This is the first time in a while they haven't had an FAQ about it being okay to apply if you've also applied to the Hello Pro Kenshuusei audition though. I don't know if that's oversight or if there just isn't a KSS audition happening. Probably doesn't make a difference.

That’s why I figured I asked, they didn’t mention anything about a seperate audition for the Kenshuusei like they have previously done with the Momusu Love Audition and ANGERME “Only One” audition.
