Okay, that makes sense.

I've probably mentioned this before, but the thing about "Laz" is that most of it's just a grammatical ending. -az (-ᚨᛉ) is the Proto-Germanic reflex of the Indo-European masculine o-stem nominative singular suffix, corresponding to Greek -ος and Latin -us. So it's kinda like calling Marcus "Cus" or Hieronymus "Mus."

I...uh...think I was absent in class that day. Seriously I thought it was just a name you made up (like "Zunu"), not a real word (like, er, Zunu). Don't know why I never looked it up before.

2. Too much time in the Wayback Machine tends to make me a little , so I don't go there that often.
3. Even so, I'm generally more OK with Jpop-related nostalgia than I am with mainstream western pop culture nostalgia (which I usually can only take in very small doses).
4. And speaking of nostalgia and insanity, I just checked - it's been almost exactly 16 years since I joined JPM.
