You probably get better KSS from an audition for a debuted group than you do for a regular KSS audition. Plus you can advertise a lot more. I hope they only add one or two girls though.

The age range for auditions used to be 10–17.

Oh I wasn’t sure if she was 10 turning 11 or 11 turning 12. She was still the youngest Morning Musume addition ever. But she was pretty mature for 11.

Layla came from the general H!P audition.

So, it’s been a long while since they’ve had an audition just for the group.

They are due for some new freshness (that doesn’t come from the kenshuusei). I hope they can find another Kamiko or Meimi. They need someone like that for sure.

Since the switch to S/mileage to Angerme I noticed that members are added every year

It’s so much different to MM. they have at least 2-4 year gap.

^ Those "gaps" were not typical for MM. The Platinum Era was four years, then they added eight members in a single year, then the Colorful Era was another three years. Those eras were so distinct because the group was unusually stable during each one.

MM's current pace is more typical, and you'll note that it essentially matches ANGERME's: ten members over the last six years.
