[1/22] Morning Musume. '20 68th single "KOKORO & KARADA / LOVEPedia / Ningen Kankei No way way"

This is really neat! I actually love KOKORO & KARADA including the MV, but I'm not sure I'm too psyched about it being the new single. 15ki's first single to boot. Album song? Sure. Single? Mhm. Yes, "cool Morning Musume" has been a thing for quite a long time now, but would it really hurt to introduce a new gen with a fun, upbeat song? Or at least one that's focused on them? As much as I like Mizuki, Masaki and Sakura I still don't see the point in centering them all the time. I'd say it's a mix of popularity and vocal ability, but if it's a vocal thing only then surely they could let Miki and Kaede take the spotlight sometimes? Anyhow, I think we all know that when it comes down to Japanese idols then a solid performance and seeing your cute oshimen adds more to the fun than just vocals.

Hence why I prefer LOVEpedia for 15ki getting some focus and a nice change in sound. Ningen Kankei No way way isn't bad but I can't get over the "Do you ears hang low?" sampling at 2:07 onward haha

I had my eye on her since she was introduced but lately I've been super focused on Rio. She'd be my first oshimen since Duu left. Really though, all of 15th gen are so cute are unique

I just love everything about it but the song is a bit difficult to get into.

I’m also on the fence with the other two songs. Just seems like a B-Side made twice.

I can vaguely recall "a gonna" from "A gonna" and a bit of "Jama Shinai de Here We Go" but that's about it.

The song with combined with arena acoustics sounds really amazing. Especially the high notes. It gives that oomph. Wow!

K&K has grown on me, and it's really only the verses that I don't like. I think it was the verses that triggered my initial adverse reaction to it in the first place, because everything else feels fresh and alive for MM. It's just too bad that they hold it back from being awesome.

You know what it is? The instrumental sounds really great and when the song opens to the backdrop of the PV you are like wow this is going to be special and then suddenly the verses start and its just like ....oh... not what I was expecting. Come to think of it, I felt the same with Egao no Kimi wa Taiyou sa, though I came to love that song over time. Guess you can tell this is a Tsunku song...
