Saw a new rheumatologist on Friday. She was pretty intelligent and super nice! I'm used to most of the doctors around here being just barely polite, so it was refreshing to have someone take time to listen and address my concerns. She ordered some x-rays and about 10 different lab tests, so those are gonna be fun.
My mom also had an appointment with her, and ever since she had her coma, she doesn't trust new doctors. She was about to have a panic attack just over a few questions on the new patient forms. But once the doc started talking to her, she felt at ease pretty quickly, and she also has lab work and x-rays to get done. She hasn't seen a rheumatologist since we left Tennessee, and it's pretty clear that not being on anything for her
PsA is affecting her a lot worse than it originally was.
Saw a new pain management doctor yesterday. Nice guy. Even spent 10 years in Tennessee! I have to follow-up next month since I just got one thing refilled, but he did call me in cyclobenzaprine for me to take instead of baclofen.
And then today I saw the podiatrist for the same toenail that he cut part of off before Xmas. He clipped part of it, popped open a small abscess, and told me to do everything I did the first time. If it's worse by the time I see him again, he told me to bring sandals.
