I do have to wonder if corporate America is going to continue to buy trendy Social Media companies for billions of dollars? What is the point if they are going to sanitize them and then be forced to write them off as a loss down the round when user abandon the platform?

I'm kind of impressed (in a really bad way) by how throroughly they managed to misjudge their own well-established user base. After that, an incompetent, semi-random implementation of their filtering system just seems like the obvious next step.

I left Tumblr cause I got tired of all the "self-care" posts telling people with legitimate mental illnesses to just ~take a bubble bath~.

I was kind of drifting off to sleep while standing up, and I found myself half-dreaming part of a short story about a young woman who's trying to find a better balance between her day job (public relations) and her creative outlet (acting):

"I've decided to write a play. I think I'm going to call it 'Gotta Eat'."
"Sounds interesting. What's it gonna be about?"
"Well, we'll kill the audience, cook them, and eat them..."

The weekend's gonna be interesting. I have to wear open-toed shoes or sandals for a few days. The toenail on my right big toe sometimes would hurt after cutting it, but it started bleeding the other night, and my dad looked at it and said "That looks ingrown!"
I found a podiatrist online after confirming that my insurance would cover it, made an appointment, and got part of the toenail cut out a couple hours ago.
