Today at the Kenshuusei show at Zepp Tokyo, Kaga Kaede and Yokoyama Reina introduced themselves as Morning Musume. 13th gen.

Makoto spoke to both of them in an MC. Makoto was touched by Kaede's story. Kaede says she definitely not going to be in the next Kenshuusei show in March. Makoto says that he thought she would stay and be an "eternal Kenshuusei" or maybe a "Kaede Factory" would be made. He says it may be lonely, but Kenshuusei need go and fly their wings.

in the last MC, Kanatsu Mizuki started to tear up because its going to be lonely without Kaga Kaede. Kokoro tries to comfort (hagemasu) her.

in an MC, Reina says she is addicted to learning one song, Sexy Cat no Enzetsu. Makoto asked her if she knew about the results prior to the Kenshuusei show in Osaka. She said yes, it was a secret.

My feels have been shaken! Yokoyama, being as new as she is. It was the typical new member being told and shown to the group. But Kaga. Kaga brought me to literal tears. And I'm usually not very emotional but I lost it when they brought her in for the first time to the rest of Morning Musume.

When NewReina was introduced to the group at 37:14, they had no idea who she was. Even though Mizuki had just told them the new members were selected from the Kenshuusei. Apparently NewReina had been a Kenshuusei for so little time that she had no significant interaction with the group before this.

Contrast with Kaede's introduction, at which everyone went nuts.

I wonder if this will be a stigma for NewReina going forward: the little noob who didn't pay her dues for four years like her generation-mate did. Of course half of the current lineup are auditionees who just walked in, but NewReina's exceptionally brief time as a Kenshuusei is conspicuous.
