I find that radio rips tend to have higher bass levels than the regular songs. I guess maybe they have to compensate because bass doesn't carry well, so it's always raised? idk

Maria's singing leaves just a little something to be desired (feels too flat against the rest of the singing, which makes it stand out), but I'm really enjoying the the song.

This. There's this shakiness in her voice present at the end of her lines that makes her okay sounding lines meh imo. She has gotten better at singing though, and who knows, maybe if she continues to be center, she might get the extra training treatment ace Riho got. If not, maybe they'll just continue with the whole Robo Sayu line treatment for her just like when she performs and gets lines in older songs.

About the single as a whole, it's very solid. Sexy Cat is unique and interesting, Mukidashi de is very catchy, and Sou Ja nai, while deemed as the glorified album/B side song, is still quite good and is still something I could definitely have in my playlist.

Edit: I just watched their Sou Janai performance on Shibuya Note and found out Eripon was the one singing the final high note duet with Maachan (right before the final/Maria line). That is amazing, I was expecting it to be either Sakura or Mizupon, but for it to be Eripon, wow, I'm so proud, she's come far. Not to mention she's gotten really pretty too.
