My birthday is next week and I could care less. I couldn't sleep well last night. My mind is all over the place. So excuse this post. In a years time I'll have lost 4 of my top 5 in H!P.
But honestly It hasn't sunk in yet and I doubt it will till the 2017 Winter concert when they aren't in the lineup. I'm trying to just be my usual aloof self about it and treat this like any other graduation but 15 years is how long I've been here so like the young H!P members and Trainees, I've never known a H!P without Airi or C-ute. I wish I was in a better financial position to be able to prepare for this. I hope they at least venture out of the country and have a few concerts overseas before leaving. I feel like I'll regret it if I don't do that.
But if not, I'll hold onto my two brief C-ute meetings that I had back in 2014.

Can we change the thread title from "dissolve" to "disband"? "Dissolve" is... not very nice if you're the sort of person who reflexively overanalyzes how things are written. Perhaps due to your work as a technical writer. Y'know. *eye twitches*

Now you're just messing with me. "Breakup" is a noun. The phrasal verb is "break up". *covers twitching eye with hand*

I wouldn't have said anything if the thread was likely to die off soon. But if we're going to have it around for 10+ months more, I'd rather not imagine the group getting dunked in a vat of acid every time the thread gets bumped, simply because of a poor choice of words. *gets a Botox injection for his twitching eye*

910 Percent translated Airi's blog post. I know many people were alarmed that her short answer for what she wanted to do post-C-ute wasn't singing..

Dear team ℃-ute
You may know this from morning news.
We ℃-ute disbands in the concert in Saitama Super Arena, in next June.
I'm sorry for telling this suddenly.
C-ute and Staff discussed it many times since it turned out that C-ute can stand on the big stage that we had longed for,
We told about the future of each member and decided the disbanding.
Actually I feel lonely but I hope you will encourage us.
I have lived only as an Idol.
So I have to gain a wide variety of experience to continue singing after the disbanding,
if not so, our new activities will end up in the air.
I'd like to learn a lot from other worlds and get more emotional singing expressions.
I love music.
I wanna always talk my heart with music.
I'm proud of my job "Idol".
I'm proud that I am the member of C-ute.
C-ute started the activities in 2005.
A lot of people supported us.
Thanks to them, C-ute can stand on the dream stage Saitama Super Arena.
I'm so happy to stand on the stage as ℃-ute.
I'll tell my gratitude in the remaining 10 months
I'll treat the time to sing as C-ute.
I wanna make a lot of memories with you.
I wanna be with you as long as possible.
Keep up with us till the end!
Please.

To everyone。
To all of team ℃-ute
I believe that many of you know about this from this morning’s news、 but we, ℃-ute, as of June next year、 with our Saitama Super Arena performance、 will break up。
We apologize for making such a sudden announcement。
Ever since it had been decided
That ℃-ute would stand on the stage that we’d always dreamed of
This was the result of countless discussions between the members、 as well as the staff。
It was something that we decided upon having discussed about our individual futures、 so while it does feel sad to part、 we would be happy if you would lend us your warm support。
For myself, who’s done nothing besides being an idol
After the breakup, to continue on with singing, which I love, it would be insufficient if I didn’t experience all sorts of things。 I think that the more I learn about the outside world、 the more deeply I’ll be able to express myself!!!
Since I love singing、 I’d like to continue to be someone who gets my message across through music ^ ^
My work as an idol as well as having been part of ℃-ute、 is something that I will bear with pride。
I think that it’s due to the support of lots of people since 2005, when we started activities as ℃-ute、
That the day that we’ll be able to stand on that dreamed-of stage of the Saitama Super Arena will be coming。 I’m really glad that we’ll be standing there as ℃-ute。
With the remaining 10 months
I’d like to express as much gratitude as I can
And treasure my time singing as ℃-ute!
I’d like to make lots of memories with everyone!
I’d like to be with everyoneas much as possible!!!
Please follow along with us until the very end!
We ask for your kindness‼
℃-ute Suzuki Airi
