Having left the PV be for so long, I'd forgotten just how many Karin Close-ups there are. My brain had really started assuming that it really couldn't have been all that bad. I went through shock again watching the MVs. Out of an almost morbid curiousity I took a count of how many seconds are Karin close ups. In the 4:25 of PV version of Yuugure (which the MV version seems to be for the most part anyway) Karin has :20-22 of close-ups. Now if we take out the Dance Shot (which I timed to be about 2:30 of the video) that leaves about 2:00 left for the generational four-shots and close-ups. Karin has been given 20+ seconds of that space (~1/6) of her face only. Seishun seems to fair slightly better but the ratio is pretty close. If I timed out the four-shots as well, and just purely went by close-up times it'd probably be more @_@ I'll never understand why they never used the close-ups of Kanon that are confirmed to have been taken. I guess they were just done at a later date? It really seems like she was punished even if she wasn't (if that makes sense). I wonder if this is going to be one of those things that Kanon in like 6 years after she graduates sits down and talks about on some random TV show.

I'm a bit disappointed in both of the MVs really, the actual music part seems to be almost exactly the same as the PV (Seishun might have new shots?) and the extra parts don't seem like they were edited well. Like, compared to the quality of the previous extra bits of the MVs (Tiki Bun and Mikaeri Bijin for sure), there's been a downturn for some reason. As if they had no idea what they could put in the beginning, but they were required some kind of extra content so they tacked on random close-up of the girls
