the english UP Front Link blog is ending.

End of the blog... but not of Facebook!
Hello everyone,

Some of you will not be surprised but this blog will end from now to be totally focused on the Facebook page.
Then this is true some do not have yet an account, they dislike Facebook, etc. but whatever is done, it is not possible to make everyone happy. Moreover there were not really reasons to keep this blog while doing the same thing on Facebook.

And from now, I will ask you, all the people who can understand English all over the world, something. I know there are more than 1700 fans of Up-Front artists... Many thousands fans came to see Morning Musume。, HANGRY&ANGRY-f and Berryz Kobo in America for example.
We can easily reach 10 000 fans, so are you ready for this bet?

So to all of you, you know what do you have to do now: like the Facebook page of Up-Front Link. The more who will be, the more exclusive pictures, live-reports, etc. you will have. You will not be disappointed ;)

Thank you all for your support!!

This picture has taught me that downward pointing duckface is cuter than upward pointing duckface.

I will never understand why marketing and PR people agree to lock themselves into a proprietary, login-required system like Facebook when their job is to broadcast their message to as many people as possible through as many media as possible.

Well, fuck 'em.

It's nothing personal. It's more a matter of professional pride. In my line of work, I'm also frequently involved in marketing and website development. And the way some marketing people surrender control of their messaging to a proprietary and deliberately restricted platform just annoys me.

Up-Front on YouTube I can understand, because YouTube provides a specific service that most companies cannot handle without considerable additional expense. And Up-Front members on Ameblo I can understand because it is not the members' jobs to know how blogging works, and Ameblo still allows considerable customization. But Up-Front's international outreach person on Facebook is stupid. A Facebook wall is just a severely crippled blog, especially if you're not really interacting with your "friends", which he's not.

Seriously. I guess they like him cos he's got Japanese, English and French under his belt, but... seeing his English I have to wonder how fluent he really is in the other two, as well... ^^;;
