A few hours ago I went to the
Ethiopia Restaurant in Berkeley and had their meat combo: doro wat (spicy chicken stew), tibs wat (spicy beef stew), and yebeg alicha (lamb stew). There was also salad and stewed legumes of some sort (split peas?), and of course injera (a spongy pancake-like flatbread) to pick everything up. I had tej (honey wine) to drink, as I always do with Ethiopian food.
It had been several months since I'd had Ethiopian food, but I've had a real hankering for it since
last week's episode of The Simpsons.
