Fuck you. If you knew half as much as you think you know, you'd know that I've turned off avatars and signatures specifically to block that stuff. No point in getting bothered about that which can be easily avoided.

You'd also know that when I do complain about that stuff, I do so because I believe we all have a responsibility to keep the place tidy and easy to use, so that we're not screwing everyone else just to indulge our own whims. Tragedy of the commons, broken windows theory, whatever. I like to think Zunu feels the same way, we just have different pet peeves — his is memes and macros, mine is animated GIFs. The principle is the same, though: respect your fellow users and don't crap on their screens.

Unfortunately, if you haven't gotten any of that after seven months here and I'm still just a punchline to you, then I guess my first impression of you was correct.
