I didn't really get the impression though that "they" (the director etc) didn't know how she should react. I thought *she* didn't know how she should react. The Hound was begging for mercy but he was foolishly proclaiming that he didn't deserve mercy, and in the end she didn't give it to him. About Mycah, this Arya's a few years older than book Arya. She's not going to fixate over some silly childhood friend from another lifetime, when so much has transpired since then. Her whole family's dead. Who gives a shit about Mycah.
