Hmm, I thought the two little urchins were like 11-13. About SG, I listen to them even less than I do Babymetal.

They were, in that video I posted, but that was a fanvid made from old clips. BABYMETAL has been going for almost four years already.

This is what they look like today-ish (from their concert at the Budōkan a few months ago)…

(good lord, that's a show i want to see.)

Even with the pigtails and crinolines, and even though they're still shorter than Suzuka, they're obviously growing up.

I'm just realizing that the lead singer kinda sorta reminds me of Hinoi Asuka.
Wonder whatever happened to her? She had a pretty nice voice.
She's only 23 still; I suppose she could still attempt a comeback. Maybe as part of another group though; it's pretty rough these days for female soloists.

Sigh. Hinoi Team. They were, at times, amazing. I must've watched this single-take dance ver. about 200 times back in the day.

I really hated Hinoi Team for some reason. I thought "King Kong" and "Sticky Tricky and Bang" were disturbing, and their version of "Night of Fire" was also bad. :fear:

Haha I really liked Hinoi Team, and I learned their variation of the "Night of Fire" dance.

Starting with "King Kong," they kind of went off the rails (The PV for that song bothered me more than a bit, too), and Night of Fire was just silly.

But my first impression of her two early singles ("Wanna be Your Girlfriend" and "Tatta Hitori no Kimi") was that they were both masterpieces of late-70s US/UK-style power pop, and that hasn't changed:

Perfume bringing their big budget in with Cling Cling teaser

not feeling the instrumental which is a big part of Perfume songs for me, but the PV looks like its gonna be wild

So far, the instrumental is reminding me of Dream Land. I can't complain, cause I love Dream Land, lol. The covers are great.
