A Japanese website called pia has a column about girls band, featuring LoVendoЯ as one of the most active girls band of 2013. The most interesting part in the column is this chart.



This is probably more like an opinion of the writer rather than the actual image and music direction of LoVendoЯ, but hopefully they already have that in their mind. I would want them to be more rock than pop though.

Interesting chart, but definitely subjective. Among other things, I'd move Whiteberry and Judy and Mary at least a little further over towards heavy, PrincessPrincess more towards pop, and Shonen Knife more in line with Scandal and Chatmonchy. Still, very interesting.

And I think I've seen live performances by seven of the bands listed.

It is, but I really think that a lot of it is that they're running on rock-group time: write new songs (whether UF* approves of them or not ), work out the instrumental parts and practice them until they're pretty close to perfect (same with the vocal, of course), then rehearse them all together as a band endless times. It really does take a lot longer than idol time (which in Japan, at least, seems to be geared toward a quick turnaround).
