They've now beat the sales of any of their singles all the way back through 2003!

Looking at the sales figures in Wiki, I noticed that after the middle of 2004, first-week sales tended to account for maybe 90% of the total, while before that time, they frequently accounted for 50% or less of the total -- in other words, the actual period when a single had significant sales stretched out for considerably longer.
It looks to me as if that's true for the idol industry in general -- since the beginning of 2011, that's been the pattern for AKB, and it was also true for many of their earlier singles. (For AKB, in fact, about 80% of their sales are on the first day.)
It will be interesting to see if Morning Musume can break out of that pattern, and establish a record of strong post-first-week sales. I think it's possible.

The second week sales are amazing! Can we get 4,000 copies sold in the third week so we can go up to 160k total copies sold? I am really happy. Lets hope that the next single sells over 200k!

Oh yes, this concert (Hinamatsuri festival in Yokohama) had some problems, Risako had to be helped as well. xDD I don't think I've ever seen such a problematic concert in my life, at least from the concerts released in DVD. xDD

Yay for Morning Musume! *__* I'm really surprised about outselling Perfume, I thought they did sell better. Amazing!
