I would have Definitely added Koi no Dance Site, Mr. Moonlight (Ai no Big Band), Go Girl ~Koi NO Victory~ , Koko ni Iruzee! Do it Now, and Shabondama and MAYBE some platinum era songs. What a let down release this is....

It's not for long-time fans like us. It's for mainstream folks who are just now rediscovering the group. That requires a mix of the Golden Era songs those folks remember and the Colorful/Reborn/"Ima no" Era songs those folks have heard recently. All the stuff in between, no matter how good we may think it is, is irrelevant.

I mean that's really it though. Not for any benefit of my own but i feel like the newer fans are just going to be stuck in that "Love Machine/Renai Revolution 21 Stage" when they are missing out on a lot of other cool songs.

If they're interested, they'll find that stuff. That's what iTunes and used CD stores are for.

Meaning that Reina and Gaki's vocals will be replaced!
(can't say Mittens since she was with the background singers for Ren'ai Hunter)

Or in the case of Japan: CD rentals.

Fans aren't going to be stuck in the Love Machine/RR21 Era because they're just tying the glorious past to the present to promote the present so there'll hopefully be less of that awkward contrast between the past and present (like you know how some people get upset when OGs steal the spotlight?). The group has always been performing those songs, so it's nice that the current group can have their own versions of the songs.

As much as a lot of us love Platinum Era, it's not like it significantly helps the group for new fans to discover Platinum Era material. Who cares if random old singles suddenly appear #190 on the chart again?

THE Manpower is already a treat for us because it's actually unexpected.

I'm actually more excited to hear Gaki and Reinaless versions of their more recent songs.

Though I was hoping for Shabondama considering how well they performed it at Reina's grad concert.

I'm excited for tracks 8~13 as well. It seems like they want to push the whole "Ima no Morning Musume desu." campaign to the album, in which Reina and Gaki just don't belong. XD

Yeah I like to think that this is an attempt at stopping OG from being invited to everything. Its like "Oh Love Machine? The new Morning Musume has their own version so lets let them perform that one instead" Same for Renai Revolution and the Peace. Its like an attempt at dropping Morning Musume from its past associations.

I feel like Aruiteru is an odd one and yeah a song like Namida Tomaranai Hokago might be better for Sayu's voice, but I wont judge it until I hear it. Other odd addition is THE Manpower. I never liked THE Manpower and I'm not excited for it. Lets hope I'm pleasantly surprised. I WISH with the 9-10-11kies sounds like an awesome idea. And hearing Renai Hunter to Brainstorming without Aika, Reina and Gaki is something I'm super looking forward to because without them the group sounds much better imo. I feel like I will play those songs on repeat. (Nothing against the three... Gaki sounded great in Renai Hunter and all)

And yeah I would have loved more Platinum Era. Resonant Blue and Nanchatte Renai at minimum. But Tsunku must have had limited space and something to prove by redoing golden era songs so I trust him. Even with only a few songs I'm way more excited for this than C-ute's redo album. At least almost all the girls are different.

Also should I assume that ALL of these songs will be preformed in the fall concert???
