I love Saigo no Door. The video is beautiful, especially the white scene toward the end.


Namida no Sei ja nai is more simplistic, but it still made me teary.

Sold 1,330,000 copies for the week. #1 again.

Funny thing is for them, that's a drop.

That also happened last year between the Bikini single and the Election single (Manatsu no Sounds Good sold 1,822,220 while Gingham Check sold 1,316,240).

In fact last year, post-election, their sales just slowly, slowly declined up until the Bikini single where they exploded again.

So I'm not tooooo worried. Koi Suru Fortune cookie had a better 1st day and 1st week than Gingham Check.

Yeah, they're really doing better if you look at things from year to year.

Sayonara Crawl did better than Manatsu no Sounds Good, and now Koisuru Fortune Cookie is doing better than Gingham Check.

Not sure if KFC will do better than Flying Get, but right now it's really not trailing so far behind. It's hard to tell because their singles doesn't leave the chart until 374023798423 weeks later.

By the way, this one of the few singles where I seriously enjoy the a-side and all the b-sides. I've been lazy with listening to b-sides for other singles, so I don't remember how most of them go (I remember some I LOVE though).

Is it just me or they're making the big deal out of the single? I can just find it everywhere.... I dn't remember that much of activity with the other singles...

They might've been afraid it wouldn't sell as much with Rino as center (compared to Acchan or Yuko) so they promoted it more. Who knows. I remember thinking Flying Get and Heavy Rotation were everywhere (Gingham Check not as much)

So this song keeps popping up every time I go with a Japanese person to karaoke. I think because of the whole dance-a-long thing, because when it is sung everyone is determined to dance it as well, even if they don't know it.

I also had a girl tell me that she wanted it played at the reception for her wedding

I just found it interesting since I thought the song was a little weak as well (though admittedly I don't really follow their music too much) It was promoted a TON though. Stuff is still all over the place for it and it was months ago.
