I think people are perceiving a problem were there isn't one. Which is why I asked if they were being mistreated/treated differently at all. If things were going well, there'd be no reason for management to stop treating them good. What happened behind the scenes we obviously don't know, but when things are going good they would continue making it go well -- see Cute.
As much as it sucks, assuming it's the latter that their attitudes are like this because it's the way they're being treated, that just shows their lack of professionalism.
